I mounted it on my trailer. Great winch. Remote works great even from behind my trailer. I put a different style hook on mine but only out of preference. You will need a plate to mount the fairlead to if you are using separately from a bumper.

I've been using it for 3 years now and it hasn't let me down. Had to be rewound when it was installed, but that was expected. We have bought two more since and they also have worked flawlessly. I highly recommend this wench for your rig.

I really like this winch so far. I honestly really appreciate the instructions that come with the winch. I like it’s actually copper cables. I recommend put as much of the winch together as possible. Before installing it to the bumper. Especially your two ground wires. The two that connect in the same spot. The terminals are not that strong. It’s easy to snap them clean off. As you are looking to tighten down your individual cables. I like winch came with everything as advertised. The installation is pretty easy. Great videos on YouTube explaining how to. Just take your time. As soon as your positive is connected. It’s hot right away. So be careful with your ground. The winch once installed. Works perfectly out of the box. I feel it is much stronger then rated. I love the wireless controller. The winch if connected to the battery will drain your battery. You will need quick disconnects, or a switch. Easy to install and definitely good for price. Will drain battery if you don’t use all the time so adjust it so it doesn’t or un hook until needed.

Got this as a Christmas gift from the kids for the truck. Finally got some warm weather and started to do the install. Item had lots of wear marks like it was installed before and returned. The control box even had damage to the cover, heat shrink and there is a rattle inside it. UPDATE Jul-2023: During the installation, the power post busted off from the winch. Contacted seller and they sent me a new power post which required me to tear down the motor to the windings. Got everything put back together and was able to extend and retract the rope. UPDATE Dec-2023: First real use! Had to go save a friend in a Jeep who thought they were invincible. When I get there, I put the clutch into neutral and roll out the rope. Get all rigged up and re-engage the clutch on the winch and nothing. Confirmed the clutch was in the right position (nope, can't pull out any more rope), and tried both in and out. Lots of noise but no movement. But now I have to wind the rope back in by hand before I can get out the trusty recovery strap. Winch completely failed when it was needed most. ... show more
