My little Pit that sometimes jumps the fence because of loud noises, has not done so after eating these. Disclaimer, I can't be sure there have been any loud noises recently, as it always happens when I'm at work. I like to think it's these chews!

My dog is scared of thunder or any loud noises, we’ve tried multiple type of calming treats but she knows there medicine and she’s very picky she sniffs out any Medicine in the ham, peanut butter, even cheese we’ve tried it all. She will sniff it out and she hates it we normally have to force her to take her meds but these treats are Amazing she doesn’t even fight us she just chews them, I don’t know if it’s because we use the Wheezes teeth treats and there very similar look wise or what but it’s Amazing to find something that actually helps and we don’t have to force and make her more nervous. Side note we only give her half the treat and she’s about 13lb so great value since we only need half the treat and there so many in the bag. Only downside is the packaging not great to reseal we put them in a ziplock bag.

We have a 60lb dog which requires 1-2 chews but for the price its kinda a bit much because he gets night time anxiety and would always need 2. Plus sometimes I felt like they didn’t calm him and sometimes it did. For a smaller weight dog these are probably better. I bought their cbd bag on their website and felt as if the chews only helped sometimes, not at all, or made him fall right asleep. Just doesn’t seem consistent with each chew with the dental calming or cbd from website. I told my vet and he recommended thunder wunder and what a difference! It may be a little more money but the chews work way better and always consistent. For a 60lb says 2-4 chews but he only ever needs 2 so the jar goes a longer way. I would only recommend zesty calming if your pets anxiety isn’t overbearing like my old dog has. Zesty does offer money back or something I remember on their website but I didn’t feel like doing it.

Have purchased many, many packages of this product. My grandpuppers are rather high strung and these chews are always a hit, even for the picky Cattle dog. They love hearing the rattle of the bag and are always happy to have one. Great product, great chilled out doggos.

My dog is a 25 pound Sheltie. He has been given these chews almost every night for about a year. Last night this all has changed. We had a serious close call last night. We give our boy a zesty paws treat every night before bed to help with dental cleaning. It also has a calming affect. Been doing it for a year, no problems. But last night he started choking on it and he wasn't breathing. He was thrashing around and I thought we were losing him. I tried reaching into his throat to see if I could remove it. Couldn't. Frantically I tried doing what could only be considered the Heimlich maneuver. Somehow eventually he dislodged it but it got stuck sideways between his teeth, but at least he was able to now breathe. My daughter the vet tech arrived and we all held him so she could reach in and pull it out. You could tell he was so relieved.... And so were we. Be careful of these hard chewable treats. Never had a problem before but now I'm scared to death to give him anymore unless I cut it into a much smaller piece. Anyways, Mika is still here and fine this morning ♥️. I doubt that I will ever give these to him again. ** So, since this unfortunate incident I've been breaking the treats into 1/4 pieces. Now give them this size to both of our Shelties. They do love the treats and they definitely help them stay relaxed and help the sleep. So glad that it did work out... Just be vigilant !
