I've owned a Bissell carpet cleaner for many years and have used lots of different products but this is the best product I have ever used. My wife asked me to clean the seats of her van and this product got out coffee stains and ink pen stains and I believe paint stains and even stains that I didn't know until after were from my children vomiting in the van. A few days later I used it to clean the sofa and loveseat in my second living room and the amount of dirt that was in the water that I emptied afterwards was borderline disgusting. I have never had another carpet shampoo do what this product does. I actually am looking forward to using this product on my living room carpet in a couple months I can't wait to see what it can do. I added it straight (no dilution) to the detergent tank of my carpet cleaner, where it's automatically mixed at the proper ratio. Tried it on my two bedroom carpets, and one higher pile area rug. They both came out beautifully, with no obnoxious, perfumy odor. I'll be trying it on my living room and bedroom upholstery, when I get the motivation to tackle that, too. This is the latest version of this particular carpet shampoo. It is really the same as the previous version but they've changed the color and packaging> it works just like the original product. I use it in my Hoover brand carpet cleaner using warm water and the measurement suggested by Hoover and I use it in my Little Green machine for furniture cleaning and spot cleaning on the carpeting that don't merit using the bigger machine. This stuff is strong enough to get the dirt our but gentle enough that it doesn't hurt the carpeting or furniture! ... show more

This carpet cleaner at best does only a fair job. I've had better results from a store brand from another major seller. With this cleaner, I had to go over the carpet two times. The scent isn't real strong, but it is somewhat unpleansant. Two or three days after using this product, I ended up purchaing a carpet deodorizer shampoo. I still have over half of the product unused. I'm not sure what I going to do with it, but I am sure it will never go on my carpets again. I can not recommend this product. ... show more

This stuff is great. Smells good but not too over powering. I have a lot of littles and pets, so I need to clean my rugs frequently. The bisell brand works nice, buts it’s so expensive for the little amount you get. This worked much better surprisingly too. Good buy!
