We typically use a lightweight carseat that connects to a base that stays in our vehicle. Our little guy is still light enough to carry around in the carseat, so we just use a stroller on occasion. This system eliminates the need for keeping a stroller with you because it IS a stroller. I could see this being a really useful item for traveling if you're in a city situation, especially if using an Uber or Lyft or something like that. You can strap this right into a vehicle as a carseat, then switch it into a stroller without having to take the baby out of the seat. The wheels are nice and large, and the integrated sunshade is helpful, too. However, this system has quite a few drawbacks. First, it's pretty bulky and heavy as a carseat. You can see it compared to a normal infant seat in my picture. It *should* fit fine into most vehicles, but it might be a pretty tight wedge. Second, parts fell off of it the first day I tried it. One of the buttons on the side that allows you to move the location of the handle fell off, and the handle was stuck in one location. (We found the piece later, so I can put it back on, but the construction was pretty poor for it to fall off the first day.) Third, there is no chest clip on the seat harness. This is a HUGE safety concern, especially for younger children/infants. This system would be pretty impractical for any larger children (my 8-month-old already filled the whole seat insert). Finally, the strap clip on the bottom is really difficult to click in place. You have to connect the straps to each other, then click the connected piece into the receiver. It doesn't seem to click into the receiver very securely, so I'd be somewhat concerned about safety in an accident. If you added your own chest clip to the carseat, I could see this being a helpful system for city travel or using a rideshare a lot. However, as a daily use item, this would not be practical for me. ... show more
