I had a Hoover Steamvac with SpinScrub that parts are hard to get now, and it really was a pain to clean. It really did not do a very good job either, with new models being much better I ordered a new one. I picked the BISSELL Revolution HydroSteam Pet Carpet Cleaner Model 3432. As I have dogs, a saint Bernard and a Rottweiler, hair is a real problem for any carpet cleaner. But this model makes getting hair out of the machine so easy and very little even gets into the tank, so the PET model is just a must. The steam function really works; this is no joke like the Hoover Steamvac that only warmed the water. The steam really breaks up stuff deep in the carpet, it heats the water to steam very fast, in under a minute. The three modes are easy to set and use by pushing a button and the three indicators let you know what mode you are in. All you need to do is push and pull the machine around and use the trigger button when you want to use whatever mode you are in. The solution tank is so easy to fill and use, and even the waste tant is easy to clean and install. This thing is just so easy to clean, I am so impressed at these improvements. All things combined make this carpet cleaner a good value for its ease of use and cleanup, let alone on how well it cleans a carpet. I am very happy with this unit and so glad I spent the extra money for this model.

The media could not be loaded. I couldn't find any reviews that actually demonstrated a good clean for any machines so I decided to make this worth customer's time. Arrived on time. Unboxing was fun! Instructions & assembly was so easy a toddler could do it. I love the storage bag for all the attachments (I admit i lose the attachments before I ever use them). The attachments work great. The machine isn't the lightest but I'd rather the machine weight 20-30 lbs then not work so that wasn't an important deciding factor for myself. It's so easy to use, you fill the holding tank to the water line with HOT water (not heated by a stove, kettle, microwave, but as hot as the tap gets). It takes like 20 seconds to heat up (they all do that heat, much quicker than my rug doctor ever heated). The dirt water holding tank & the clean water holding tank aren't huge but if they were, it would take much longer to heat & more power to maintain the heat so it's a smart compromise the company went with. I didn't try the quick dry option because I was doing deep cleaning but the carpet still dried really quickly (less than 8 hours & as little as within an hour depending how much soil I had to clean). I used my bunnies' play room for the demonstration because, well you can see it got gross when I was really sick for a month. The material looks & feels of good quality production. I have owned a lot of carpet cleaning machines & even commercial machines but this by far cleaned better than any machine I have ever used before. Bissell has really started to step up in the quality department.

I really like this product. It’s easy to use, very effective at cleaning up nasty pet poop and pee and if you add vinegar to the water, it helps to block the residual odor that draws the animals back to the site. It did an excellent job of cleaning and it also picks up Pet hair quite effectively from carpet.

Oh. My. God. This is hands down the worst purchase I’ve ever made. This machine is the most poorly designed vacuum I’ve ever come across. Assembly? A complete nightmare. I literally had to stand on it to get the clear cover to snap into place. That should’ve been my first warning. I did half my living room the first day, planning to finish the rest the next, and things seemed okay—aside from constantly having to remove the cover to clear out pet hair that somehow wasn’t getting properly sucked up. Turns out, pet hair gets stuck between the panels in the clear cover that directs water to the bin, and there’s no way to open that section to clean it out. So once hair is lodged in there, it stays there—blocking the tunnel and making water extraction way less effective. Then, everything spiraled downhill. By the next day, the machine was barely sucking up water. By the time I got to just one bedroom, it was struggling to spray and extract properly. Then I tried using the hose attachment, and that’s when the real chaos began. The front panel kept popping off, spraying water everywhere—all over my clothes. When I finally tried attaching the hose, I had to stand on the panel just to get it to click in place. It took every ounce of strength I had, which is absolutely absurd. Within two minutes of using the pet cleaning function, the vacuum clogged, forcing me to stop, take it to the shower, detach the hose, and clear it out. I had to do this four times just to clean a tiny 2x2 closet. The mental breakdown that followed? I won’t even comment. The buttons and release mechanisms on this thing are a joke. Every latch is so tiny and recessed that you can’t press it with your fingers—mind you, I wear a size 5 ½ ring. I had to use an Allen key or a flathead screwdriver just to detach any part of the machine. And when it was finally time to pack this disaster up to return it? The hose doesn’t even have a quick-release button—you need a screwdriver just to get the handle out. At that point, I genuinely wanted to chop it into pieces and shove it in the box. What should have taken one to two hours ended up taking over six hours across two days. I should have known better—I already have a normal Bissell vacuum that smells like it’s on fire when I use it. I should’ve taken the hint and stayed far, far away from this brand. But now? Now, I know for a fact that Bissell is a complete scam. You could probably find a better carpet cleaner on Temu for $15, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it worked better than this. Don’t waste your time. Don’t even bother. Buy literally anything else. It might not be amazing, but I guarantee it won’t be worse.
