It is plenty sturdy and does exactly what u need it to. I am using it with the stock chevy bolt euv charging cord, and the size is just right. If your cable is longer it might be smallish. Thanks to the other reviewers, I was prepared for a problem with screws. I hung it in a spot where 2 screws went into anchors, 2 into a stud. I used the included screws and anchors, and just used 2 different wood screws for the stud. No problem. There were no instructions but the anchors can be installed using a 5/16 drill bit. I never tested the included screws in the stud. 4 screws for something so light is more than sufficient imo. Anyway this is exactly what I needed. ... show more

I wanted to attach it to some metal cabinets I have in my garage. The base is steel and holds a magnet very well. I zip tied the holster to the base and bought some good magnets on Amazon for a strong hold. Works very well for my needs

The mount and holder are nice and seem well made. The included screws are garbage. Every single one broke. Had to get my own to install.

I bought this one as I wanted a unit that had the hook above/part of the socket and that didn’t have any sharp edges for the cord to rest on. Install was okay but the first of the provided screws I used the head snapped right off. I just used other screws I had. The lip to hold the cable is just a bit short. Maybe an extra 1/2” or even a 1/4” would have been nice. It still holds my long charging cable but it sort of piles up on it. I would recommend this hook (but maybe plan to use your own screws from the start). ... show more

The provided screw heads stripped quite easily, so I'd recommend using your own screws when you mount it. You also have to be careful with the alignment between the metal base and the molded plastic piece to make sure the four screw holes align (don't tighten down that first screw until you've got at least another one started). Overall, this worked nicely for my needs and my Chevrolet Volt charge slips in nicely and "locks in" when mounted. Great way to keep your charger safely mounted for years of usage. ... show more
