This is just a charging pad. if you are looking for a charging pad and Apple carplay this isn't the unit for you. The factory unit that this looks to replace has the charger and Carplay and to be frank you can get a unit that has both for a significant price increase. in the end, I had to buy a separate unit that was a Carplay dongle (which works amazingly) and this unit. to only reason that is cost effective was that I got the Carplay dongle on an Amazon lightning deal so it was like 20 bucks plus this. had it been the original price I'd have just gotten a complete unit. ... show more

This wireless charger is being used with an uncased iphone mini and works as described. The install was easy, though either the unit I received had a slightly warped base or the car's console was not flat. It would rock a bit corner to corner. A small felt pad fixed this. It also took a couple of tries to get the USB-C connector to stay in place when feeding the cable through the console notch. Charging time seems adequate. Most of my drives are 30 minutes or less, and the phone will charge between 20%-25% in this period while connected via wifi to a wireless CarPlay dongle. The charge amount drops if the phone is used for a long call or navigation. Charging temperature of 98 degrees is the same as measured using a MagSafe charger. The temperature goes up some if the phone being used while charging on either device. My normal commute involves turns, stoplights and railroad tracks. The phone does move some on the pad, but not enough to misalign the charging elements so far. Overall, the unit is doing exactly what it was purchased for. I was eyeballing this for awhile and I will say I am happy with how quickly my phone charges. On a hot day though and your phone battery is low do not leave it on for too long. My phone battery overheats. Using iphone 13 pro. Once in awhile it actually won’t charge my phone. Light flashes green. Could be the roads I drive and my exhaust on my car perforating my phone off the charger. I’m not putting too much thought into it. Just appreciated the concept more then anything. ... show more

    • Fits 2017 Honda Civic well but one drawback
Size: for Civic 2016-2021
Fits perfectly in 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback EX CVT. Using with Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Seems to work well when it stays lined up. This is where I'm finding my biggest problem. The phone without a case will not stay in place at all. With the case, it doesn't slide around as much, but I still find I need to pay attention as does find its way off the center. I may try to find a very thin rubber mat to see if that helps, and glue it down if it does, but that puts more between the charger and the phone so I expect an impact to the charge rate. I'm sticking with it because it fits the car so nicely, and coupled with a wireless Android Auto device, it makes things far more convenient, but it would have been nicer if it has a slightly stickier surface. ... show more

This works great for my Galaxy S22 phone with an Otter Box Defender case. Only charging issue I have come across is my phone will not charge when using Pandora with the Pandora app on the infotainment system but I play Pandora on the phone and use Bluetooth the phone charges just fine. this is most likely a software issue more than the charging unit. The fitment is perfect inside the dash cubby hole. Simply plug the power cable to the unit, micro USB side. Then slide the unit into place dropping the power cord down through the pass through hole at the back right corner of the cubby. It's an access to run the wire cleanly down to the power port on the right lower side of the center console. Plug in the power adaptor in to the power port and plug in the USB plug into the power adaptor. Turn on the power switch and simply set your phone down to charge. On the 10th Gen Honda Civics with automatic transmission, the gear shift gets in the way with it in the park position but has good access when its in the drive position. Compared to the Honda unit avail. this is a huge bargain. Honda wants $250.oo for there unit which is probably this same unit anyhow. ... show more
