Background... I've built custom PC's since the late 90s and I've mainly used either the grease packet that came with the heatsink or bought a tube of Arctic silver. This is my first time deviating because I saw this was a new product on Amazon and the price was right and I've used heatsink from zalman in the past. I laid this down on an old core 2 duo rebuild for a friend. Went down pretty smooth with a razor blade like I always use. Stock cooler dropped on and tightened. i7 quad 65w desktop CPU now running at peak with minimal fan noise. When loading videos or running office -- fan kicks in briefly when cpu temp crosses 60cbut cools relatively quickly and down back in the 40s c. way better than before, cpu fan was constant.

Best thing for your buck not overly pricey for the 4 g to me pretty much all thermal paste do the same thing when the old one dries out time to replace.

Tried other thermal pastes to reapply thermal paste the Playstation 3's CPU but none were as effective as this one. It seems expensive but is worth the price.
