I have a Traeger lil’Texas Elite, an older, durable model that was made back in the day. It is a great smoker with no issues; it’s a work horse. This Z Grill has all the features that you say that would be nice to have, and it comes at an affordable price The features I like are the bigger wheels for rolling and moving it around. The clean out feature is nice, as is the TWO built in thermometers. The cabinet is substantial and not flimsy. The materials and build quality are very good. All parts matched up to all the pre-drilled holes. The firebox is reinforced, the auger and the firebox are very substantial. I anticipate many years of enjoying this smoker It took me about an hour to assemble the smoker.

What can I say, the title says it all. I can get into everything everyone else has said, but why. Its great, it works well, food is awesome. I bought the insulation kit as well, and I ise it, even when its snowing. My only complaint it the cover it comes with barely fits, and anf its not because of the blanket. It seems like that was taken into consideration. It sits oddly on the pellet box, and in less than a year, its shredded in those corners. The material has faded, gotten brittle, and tears somewhere else whenever its removed now. Look into getting a good cover for it after you use it for a few months. Other than that, the thing is exactly what I wanted.

Ok product, terrible customer service. I was not impressed with smoke output or the uneven heat on the grill. But after it quit working 4 months after I bought it customer service jacked me around for the last 6 months. I didn’t have my grill all summer. I’m more than dissatisfied with this company as a whole and highly regret this purchase. I should’ve just went to Menards and bought a Pitboss.

Easy assembly. Great quality. Solid and sturdy. Transition from charcoal to pellet was a challenge but much easier. Flavorful food with the smoke. Pleasure to cook on. Nice design with dual thermometers. Would recommend.

We bought the previous generation of this same grill, and it lasted for 4 years before rain penetrated the electronics and it stopped working. This one is not as good. It has trouble getting up above 400 degrees. I can put it on the highest setting and it barely breaks 370 degrees, so burgers and hot dogs are not as good. We did a ham and turkey breast on it a few weeks ago and they didnt get dark and smoky after cooking it low and slow all day. I do really like having the built in temp probes though, that is an awesome feature. Overall, a good grill and smoker but disappointed at spending more but getting an inferior product compared to their previous version.

The Z Grill works great! It was worth the money spent and getting the same results as other smokers out there in the market place. We have not had any issues with it and had it over a year. We leave it in the hot weather and no issues at all.

We bought this months ago and had a few issues at first but we called customer service and they were very helpful in figuring out the problem. We’ve bought several smokers over the years and this is by far the best one we’ve bought. My husband loves it, uses it all the time and tells everyone how great the customer service was and recommends buying one.

Assembly: Intimidating at first, but the directions were very clear. No issues on that end and I can barely screw in a lightbulb. Wear the gloves they provide. Startup: There are some start up instructions that you need to follow. Definitely don’t skip them. Smoking: I did a pork shoulder and got really nice smoke rings. There are lots of videos on YouTube put out by Traeger, Z grills, and just barbecue enthusiasts. There are ways to increase the smoke flavor so you need to do some experimenting, but usually just following those recipes get you what you’re looking for. Quality: I did a lot of research before making a purchase. I was gonna go with the Traeger, but they are much more expensive. I was pleasantly pleased with the quality of this grill.
