I have an oversized door with no screen door off my kitchen. This was perfect for my purpose, cutting to fit now allows me to keep my kitchen door open and allow fresh air to circulate. I can walk in and out to the grill without having to worry about pushing a handle, it was quick and easy to install, measure, cut to size and attached matter of minutes, Tape measure and scissors is all I needed however it comes with tacks so a small hammer may be needed if you can't push tacks into place. great quality, pretty strong adhesive, i dont see it coming out anytime soon. my dogs already got used to it because its so easy to use. the magnets work really well and keep the bugs out. i added some thin staples every 24in to reinforce on door.

I installed this screen on door to my backyard so the dogs can go in and out without a lot of bugs getting in the house. It's a big iron door with an iron frame. The screen packaging said it wasn't for metal doors, but by that time I could no longer return it so I figured I'd try it. It was very easy to install. And it looks great too. Easy to use and the dogs figured it out in minutes. My big shepherds love it, never satisfied with the dog door now, they want to use the screen lol. As others with metal doors has said in earlier reviews. the adhesive doesn't do well on the bottom sides of metal door frame where there is constant tension from the magnets, and it quickly begins to pull off. To prevent that from happening I used a couple of mini clamps to secure the bottom of the fabric to the bottom of the metal frame, luckily there was room in my case, and while it doesn't look classy, it does keep the bottom of the panels attached to the frame. We've been using the screen for about a month now. There's already a small cut in one screen, not sure from what, but it's at the height where I would be holding something in my hands in front of me when I walked in so it was probably something sharp that I pushed through the door with, my own fault. So the screen is on the delicate side. And I noticed a worn edge at the bottom fabric where the magnets meet, and a hole formed a magnet fell out but I can't find it (hope the dogs didn't eat it...). The fabric s/b reinforced at those bottom corners but that might reduce the magnet adhesion? The wear I found is likely due to a bigger issue related to the metal doors though. When my big dogs run through the door, they whip the screen flaps and the magnets in those flaps often catch on the metal door frame or the open door preventing the flaps from closing back together and then the bugs are flying in. This defeats the purpuse of the screen. I am constantly pulling the half open flaps close, dragging the magnets along the door/frame and wearing out the fabric boarder holding the magnets. I'd pull it down and put it in the trash if the dogs didn't like it so much. Maybe I'll add some weights to the bottom corners of the screen flaps where they snap together, enough that the little magnets can't hold it up when it's tries to stick open to the door or frame. Maybe that will help make the flaps close reliably? Fingers crossed. Not sure if I love it or hate it, but the dogs love it, so I'll keep trying to figure out how to make it work better with a metal door.

I've had several magnetic screens previously. This has the best adjustability as a result of the extra wide edging at the top and sides that can be trimmed to the exact measurements needed. The tape adheres nicely to the door frame. Be sure to wash and dry the frame before installation. The magnets work well to close the flaps keeping bugs out. Use a steamer, not an iron, on the mesh to remove the wrinkles from packing. Improvements: There are 2 Velcro tabs on the outer face to secure the flaps during windy conditions. It would be better if they were on the inside face for easier access. Also, other manufacturers provide tabs to hold the flaps open. I ordered the "white" color since I have a white/ivory vinyl slider. The "white" is very, very white so it doesn't look great. More color options such as ivory, taupe, beige, grey, dark brown and dark grey would be great.

Worked well for a while. Allowed our dogs to go in and out without allowing insects to come in. But it got dirty really easily as our dogs used it, and eventually the magnets were not strong enough to hold the screen together.
