TLDR: bought to use for bird room to keep cat out and birds in. It was fairly easy to install, works great and seems sturdy. The only thing I would change: I wish there were more tacks due to me smashing a few in my attempt to hammer them in lol. (Explanation of how I installed it farther down) ■Longer version: We have been working on setting up a bird room. The room we are using has 1 door and 1 doorway. The doorway connects to the kitchen. I was already planning on getting a screen for this doorway eventually. It suddenly became urgent due to my ex husband calling me and asking if I can take in his cat. I didn't want a magnetic one because I figured cats could walk right through it. I measured the outside of the doorway and bought the recommended size. It was pretty easy to install intuitively. The directions are not very detailed, but that wasn't a problem for me. My b only complaint is I wish they included more tacks. A few of them ended up being smashed/bending while I tried to hammer them in. I don't think it was due to a problem with the tacks. I think it was caused by my sub-par hammering skills. ■How I installed it: ●I opted to install it in a way that made sense to me. To explain this, let's call the the velcro pieces that are sewn on the mesh "side A" and the velcro that goes on the wall "side B." •Rather than measure placement and measure out the strip of side B velcro and place side B on the wall and pray I got the placement correct, I did the following. •I attached strips of side B velcro to the side A velcro on the mesh. I held it up to the wall and had a helper pull the bottom taught so we could find the right height. Then I peeled the paper off the back of velcro B on just the top of the mesh and pressed it to the wall. I then used 3 tacks to secure the top of the mesh to the wall (one on the top right corner, one on the top left corner and one in the middle/center of the top) •I then peeled the paper off the back of velcro B on the right side and pressed it to the wall. I hammered in some tacks to secure it. •Then I proceeded to do the left side, making sure to pull it taught as I went from top to bottom pressing the sticky side of velcro B to the wall. •I added a few tacks to secure it. •I used the rest of the tacks around the edges to finish securing it to the wall. •Lastly, I used some small 1 inch nails I had to attach the bottom of the mech to the floor by hammering them through the bottom edge of the mesh, through the carpet and in to the flooring under the carpet. °I could have skipped the last step due to the 3 attached sides being taught enough to prevent the bottom from being lifted more than a couple centimeters at most. I chose to hammer it to the floor just for extra security from pets as well as making it easier to zip and unzip.

You need this if you're introducing cats! I bought this to use during the visual introduction stage of introducing my resident 3-year-old cat to a 5-month-old newcomer. It worked amazingly well. They could see each other and get desensitized and stay safe on opposite sides on the screen. In the past with foster cats, I would use baby gates stacked on top of each other with a sheet awkwardly pinned on top. The cats could climb these, though, and I had to take everything down when I needed to leave the room and then stack them back up again. It was a pain and also didn't work; my resident never accepted foster cats. I would let her see them too soon and it wasn't successful. I knew I had to try something different this time as I adopted this kitten so it had to work! I didn't let the cats see each other at all for the first 3 days, then started with the door totally open with this screen. My resident cat growled and hissed whenever they were close by the screen but was calm a few feet away, just watching the newcomer. I closed the door only a couple times briefly if my resident was growling a lot, then would open it back up. After a couple days, they were trying to play by the screen. I let the newcomer out on day 6-7 after adoption and everything has been great since. The screen was easy to put up as one person alone. I didn't use any of the tacks in installation, just the tape. Neither cat tried to climb the screen, but it held fine with the tape when both would stand up on their hind legs against it (resident is 9 lbs, kitten is 5 lbs). With carpet, I also couldn't tape it to the floor, so I just used a dumbbell and a heavy book and that was fine to hold it in place. Taking it down, it did take small spots of paint off the painted trim but I had other areas to touch up anyway. I also didn't follow their suggestion of heating it up first—I just went straight to peeling it. Overall, I'd highly recommend this for cat introductions or foster cat rooms. The convenience of being able to just unzip to come and go and still close the door when needed was fantastic, and it helped the cats get used to each other in a safe way.

Size: White Fits Door Opening Size Up to 38''x ...
I bought this screen when I adopted a new cat who is blind. She needed some time to get to know the house, so I used this screen to keep her from coming out into the living room and kitchen, and exploring one room at a time. The screen is stable, but mainly because it comes with thumbtacks to pin into the wall. The adhesive is not very good, and does not stay on but the thumbtacks do help. However, even the thumbtacks have a hard time staying in some spots and I have to keep pushing them back into the wall which now looks like Swiss cheese from all the holes. It’s aesthetically pleasing for being a random screen that blocks a door. I bought it in white because my entire apartment is painted white and my furniture is white and it blends right in. The zipper is becoming stuck a little bit, but I manage. There are no holes in the screen and no damage so far, even though sometimes my cat claws at it. Overall, it serves its purpose. I wouldn’t recommend it for a long-term, unless you take some nails and hammer it into the wall and are very careful with the zipper.

i literally never leave reviews—never ever. i think this is my first review in almost ten years on anything, but this net is legitimately so effective that i needed to let OTHER cat owners know that it’s really good!!!! i get really nervous about the cat introduction phase, and this thing took away so much guesswork as to whether or not they’re making progress on getting along. i’m five days in as of writing this and pearl (kitten) is already feeling safe enough to spend most of the day outside, and she’s getting along pretty well with my resident cats (very well considering the timeline tbh!) it withstood some clawing, the adhesive stays pretty put, and the zippers are actually super easy, no twisting or tangling or bending the door-opening when trying to zip/unzip. i also use a chip clip to keep it open in the day so kitty can get back to her ‘home base’ (and other cats can check out her space and her used to her smell too). i would recommend hammering down the first 10 or so inches at the base on both sides, as your cats will likely be trying to push their little cat faces through (and will succeed with enough force). easy install and easy repair too, they send lots of extra velcro. all in all a great product and we’re gonna leave it up since it’s just very practical :) perfect!!!

Very good and sturdy screen door that has tape on one side and Velcro on the other. It is very strong and a cat cannot push it open. But just in case I added the included tacks at the bottom so they can’t push the corner open. The tape part is very sticky but not super sticky that it will damage to finish on your door. I have wood doors with stained wood paint and everything is OK after I had to readjust the tape to get it perfect. Now my older cats can look at the new cat while I try to integrate them from separate rooms. I highly recommend this product.

This was perfect when I lived in an apartment with two cats and had a balcony with no screen door. It mostly came off without damaging the paint but also keep in mind that I had it attached to the door for FOUR years. There wasn't a functional window in my studio apartment, so this screen often acted as that. The velcro mechanism is really cool because I sometimes took off the screen when I had company, had inspections and during the winter. Installation was easy because I measured before ordering. The material kept the cats inside and withstood some light cat scratches and even withstood my cat nose-diving into the mesh (to catch bugs, birds). I never left them unattended.

This is pretty handy for introducing cats and exchanging scent. I don't think the adhesive will hold up to cats trying to climb but I'm not having that problem. They give you extra carpet tacks, which is great because they're flimsy. You'll eventually get some to work. Only major gripe I have is a bought a second one and it came very clearly used. The adhesive was dirty. It was quite literally stapled back together. It didn't come with tacks. The used adhesive did not stick and it did not come with more. Might be a little big on some. Material is fine. It is what you'd expect from this price point.
