I meant for this to keep my cats in my bedroom with my door open, so air could get through and keep it cool. My larger cat is a true menace, he has a history of tearing through screens and carpet if he thinks he'll get outside because of it. It would have worked, but the zipper is a weak point and he found it. Pros: extremely strong adhesive tape, even my 20 lb cat could climb the screen without anything tearing off. The screen itself is very resistant to claws, but not perfect, enough clawing and they will get through. Zipper functioned great, airflow through the screen was great, it didn't look bulky or out of place. It really would have been perfect if my cat wasn't a raging pain in my rear. Cons: just the zipper really. It's a weak point, and if your cat is as determined as mine, they will find it. However, if your cat is normal, this will likely work fine because they won't see it as worth the effort. Overall, its a great qaulity product at a reasonable price, and their customer service team is fantastic. Highly recommend, but if your goal is to keep in a very determined cat, it will not work for long ... show more

I adopted a cat recently and used this screen to aid in a slow introduction to my other cat. If you foster cats or are in the same position as myself, you know they each need their own space in the beginning.. but eventually they need to start seeing/smelling eachother. This is a safe way to do so while maintaining their own personal space to feel safe. I’m sure my new cat was also happy to get some of the cool air from the a/c on the opposite side of the screen. I love the zipper so I don’t have to completely take it down while moving from room to room. I used command strips for half of installation in case the provided sticky Velcro peeled the paint. Both worked just fine n didn’t give me any issue when finally taking the screen down. The cats are friends now n I plan on using this screen again sometime in the future while fostering. I frequently foster kittens and try to keep them contained to my home office. However, the AC unit is across the hall so I need to be able to keep the door open to keep the room cool. I tried a baby gate but they quickly learned to scale it. This screen is a wonderful solution! It fits the door perfectly and had kept the kittens in the room for a couple of days now. I did keep the baby gate as well because I'm concerned about them going under the screen (we have carpet). The gate helps hold down the bottom of the screen. Installation was simple. We have metal door frames and the Velcro sticks perfectly. The zipper seems good quality and I've had no issues so far. I took off one star because it was a pain applying the Velcro to the screen. We got this so our cats wouldn’t go into our kitchen and jump up on the counters. At first it worked great, but hair and other jump gets easily stuck on the bottom Velcro part which in turn causes it not to stick. If the velcro was stronger in the first place, I don’t think we would have had the problem. Also, the zipper gets stuck sometimes which makes it annoying when we are in a hurry to unzip or zip it up. For anyone in a quick bind, I would recommend it though! ... show more

So far the screen fit as expected and is keeping cats where they belong. You can't wheel chairs or bassinets etc. through with this installed. Also, the velcro which would allow you to remove it temporarily, is stronger tgan the adhesive. So...if you try to remove it temporarily, you may need to reapply new adhesive. There is plenty of adhesive provided for repeat applications though. The zipper is a little noisy, so would wake a light sleeper. Overall, we like it! If the adhesive were stronger than the velcro, i would get more for the nursery, but i need to wheel a bassinet in and out, so i can't use this screen there. ... show more

My grand daughter moved home with her cat. I have dogs so the cat had to stay in the small bedroom with her all the time. We bought toys, have blinds up so she can sit in window but we still felt badly and the cat darted out frequently. Bought this item really didn't know what to expect but it has worked beautifully. Not only nice fit to door, because the door and trim is white it is barely noticeable. Not only the appearance but the cat does not try to get out now, it's cooler in the room allowing to leave door open alot, and the cat has become calm and content. This has impacted us and the cat more than we expected and we are very pleased. We live our pets and we were afraid for the cat to escape and possibly the dogs hurt her unintentionally. This has solved that issue. My grand daughter says she finds it easy to go in and out frequently. The company stands behind their product sending me a replacement due to measuremts and one being a bit large. I wish all amazon business was this great with customer service. Thank you very much. New addition, Doorie, female 1 year old to family, not accepted by 11yr old, Callie, senior female. This product is a lifesaver; allows for security of new addition she spends time in her own bedroom while eating and sleeping, has all her own toys, bed, litter box and window perch as well as my senior cat having her own as well. Doorie is safely secure over night sleeping away from Callie. During day its a room rotation every 1 hour in ,1 hour out, all day long. When its Doorie's turn for" time out" in room, she goes and lays down near wall so she can see out to all of us and then goes and falls asleep; while Callie stares, nearby. Then Doorie lets me know when she wants out, she climbs it like a monkey, it is very sturdy, will recommend this product whole heartedly; its wonderful. When its her turn for remaining in room she goes and lays down near wall so she can see out to us. Just one thing keep zipper closed at top do not leave an opening she could easily get out since she climbs like a monkey!!! Doorie can climb to top! ... show more
