  • Problem Solved Great Product
Color: 95% Shading - Grey Size: 109"W x 118"H
The media could not be loaded. Our new house has some very high windows that take in a ridiculous amount of sunlight from late morning to afternoon. We have lots of beautiful pics from our travels on the wall and we wanted to protect them from fading in the sunlight. Originally we bought curtains for the 2 high sidelights and that helped a great deal, as there are windows below them as well, so we killed 2 birds with one stone. However, the middle high window is directly over the fireplace so a long curtain or even a short curtain for that matter didn’t work. When I saw these smart blinds that work with Alexa I thought they might be too good to be true. But after install you will see from my video that they work better than expected. Other than the tall ladder, the install was really simple as compared to the other 50+ smart items we have in our house. For me, the best part was not needing to connect them to a 3rd party app in order to connect them to Alexa. Before hanging them we made sure they were fully charged and connected them to Alexa with 1 easy step. Simply push the little button and hold for 6 seconds as the blinds cycle in and out quickly twice. After you see the curtain shimmy the second time you simply tell Alexa to discover your devices. It took just seconds. I also went into the Alexa app, renamed them and put them into a group called The Blinds. Once I got them installed into the opening I tested them with the remote. No problem. I then tested them individually with an Alexa command. I then tested the group. The only 2 challenges were getting the first blind the snap into the brackets. Pressing directly in front of the bracket helped as did moving the unit from side to side. Eventually it popped right in. Also 1 of the 3 blinds did not work initially with the Alexa command when tested. Although it worked with the remote and was listed in the devices in the Alexa app, Alexa kept saying that function was not available on the particular blind. Since the others were working fine I simply removed the device from Alexa, climbed the ladder and held the button for 6 seconds and 2 curtain shimmies, then did the Alexa discover my devices again. This time it connected and worked perfectly upon giving the command. They look much nicer than expected and I love the zebra mode that lets filtered light in when needed. They seem great and certainly do the job. Very impressed with this product. ... show more

  • What an improvement! Love these blinds.
Color: 60% Shading Sheer Gray Size: 109"W x 118"H
These blinds are amazing. Customizing them to our oversize windows was easy on the app. The seller contacted us to confirm sizing which was an exact fit. Easy to install. Great look. Love the automation.

  • Good quality product with great support
Color: 90% Shading - White Matte Size: 109"W x 118"H
The blinds are very nice, and the customer support is EXCELLENT. The setup requires a hub which must be joined to you WiFi, then each blind is joined to the hub. The app allows you to set up automated "scenes" or one touch actions. It can also be controlled via a home assistant. These would get 5 stars if the solar panels provided full charge. But instead they merely slow down the discharge of the battery. This means each blind needs supplemental charging approx every 4 weeks. Hard wiring is best and also provides a more solid wifi connection. But despite this that are still very good and worth the investment. ... show more

  • A product that makes it so close it hurts, it hurts your wallet for what you get. Updated.
Color: 80% Shading - White Size: 109"W x 118"H
Every now and then you stumble into a product that "seems" to meet all your expectations, and yet when you get the product you end up skimming the line to just send it back and cut your loses, this is such a product. And the reason it hurts is there are no good, down to the point instructions on how to effectively program the product, and as of this moment after viewing all available videos from the manufacturer on YouTube even for multiple models, I was finally able to piece together how to match the remote (and it's not how the intended video for the product shows, there is a necessary double press not indicated in the video), set high and low limits (by mere chance), and forget about setting a middle stop, let alone connect to an app for voice control or advanced programming. As of now I am reluctantly keeping the two I bought to test before buying all 15 for the entire home, and I'm glad I tried them first, it would have been an apocalyptic nightmare to deal with the idea of having to go through this with 15 of them. As it stands now, I won't buy the rest. Now, don't get me wrong, the product may well be in the process of being finally developed to a point where it would work as described, but as of today (2020/01/27), purchasing the "Hub" for voice control is not even an option indicating instead "not required", yet getting these things into pairing mode or a WiFi signal has eluded yours truly, a former IT supervisor who knows how to follow instructions, how to write them, delucidate errors within instructions, and even as in this case piece together bits of information from multiple sources to get some functionality to incipiently work. The product may well be capable of connecting and work as expected/described, but believe it or not (not that I care anymore), as of this moment, I don't really know if what I have is Bluetooth, WiFi or an older version of the product sent by error. During the last functioning 12 hours of my life I have been able to piece together that there were previous versions of these motors that had different options for connectivity, and it seems this might be a finalized version with all the bells and whistles given it has options to reverse direction (press up, it goes down), and even operating modes such as long press the remote to activate full motion with small steps per press, or just press to activate full motion right away. And yes, I found that out by stumbling into these functions through trial and error, not because anything indicated to them. Twelve hours, no connectivity, not even clear on whether or not the offered "hub" may be required, and mixed messages from user manual versus manufacturer videos on YouTube. I am keeping them as simple, non WiFi or Bluetooth connected devices. Like I said, so close it literally hurts! For what is worth, they look nice, if a bit noisy for the price. Beware also about the small print on the manual, I had to use a loupe and still figure out what some of the words were given the size of the print is so small, you end up drilling it down to botches of ink on the images in your search for where the problem may be. Oh, almost forgot, the remote in the printed manual is different from the remote you purchase separately, which by the way, comes without dedicated instructions explaining for instance that channel 0 controls all of them at the same time, while channels 1-15 allow for individual control conceding you actually manage to program them in the first place, and programming of limits. The enclosed image is a veritable snipet of what awaits you should you buy. The written instructions tell you to get the app named "Smart Life", while the image shows you an app named "TuyaSmart". Needless to say the remotes are radically different. Should you have the temerity to buy, I sincerely wish you the best of luck. Update: to add insult to injury, after having asked a public question regarding programming the product as a smart product, my question ended up REMOVED after I requested a public link to a manual/instructions that would be helpful for other potential buyers. CLEARLY these people ARE not interested in helping, but rather in shoving the issue under the rug. Here's my advice: consider where they come from, and DON'T BUY. Update: after making these run by sheer miracle, motors started to run at different speeds. When installed they ran together, limits were set for both upper and lower positions and the blinds would start and stop at the same time. Over time however, on motor started running slower, and I thought it might be time to recharge it. Left it run for a couple of weeks without recharging them, and finally charged them yesterday. No, the motors continue to run at different speeds and as it stands now, I somewhat expect one of them to die anytime soon. I will reiterate my advice, stay away from this overpriced piece of junk or any of the products named by these incompetent company. Other names are Yoolax, Soluna and Dooya. Same junk, different stench. ... show more
