Looking at other reviews, I see that this happens for some buyers. When I wrote a poor review, the seller contacted me and offered to refund my money. Stopped after a year, new battery didn't help. Started losing time while in a vertical position, hanging on the wall, worked when laying flat for awhile, then stopped altogether. UPDATE Increased rating due to seller customer service. Clock was passed warranty and I didn't request refund, but seller offered refund anyway. They reached out to me. UPDATE: I was eventually able to pop the clear cover off and the paper laid flat on its own. The tab is a little damaged but it works fine now. I bumped the stars up to four and not five because it works like it should, but it shouldn’t have been shipped with a bent clock face. This clock came with its paper insert that has the numbers printed on it bent inside the clock. I didn’t think it’d be a problem as it passed over initially ok so I hung it. I bought it for a church classroom and for that reason I wasn’t looking at it all the time but once a week. I noticed it kept slowing down and then after a month I changed the batteries, then did it again. I replaced the batteries three times before giving up and buying a different clock. I realized after looking closer it wasn’t stopping due to the battery, but due to the paper insert. I took a good look at it today to see if I could salvage it and noticed the paper insert was the only problem as the minute hand can’t get over the bump in the paper and I can’t get the face off to fix it. I lost money on it as it says I can’t return it anymore. It’s a good clock if the paper isn’t bent. Very quiet. ... show more
