Worked great! I used it on a brand new 100ah LifePO4 battery (came with only 50% charge) and i was a little worried that it wasn't working right, because it only got up to 14a charging speed, but turns out that's normal due to the smart charging phases. Took about ~6hrs to charge to 100% from 40-50%. When it finishes, it will test the battery for 10 minutes to make sure it's topped off and then automatically stops charging. (In the instructions, it says not to overcharge, but also says it auto stops at 100%. I think they just say not to over charge for liability reasons. I wouldn't worry about leaving it on). Does come with instructions. They're not a detailed step by step, breathe in- breathe out guide, but just plug it into a socket, select the mode via the button (compatibility with Lifepo4/lead-acid, NOT other types of lithium apparently), black to black, red to red- and thats pretty much it. It has pictures of codes that the charger will throw incase something isn't right. Or in case everything is right! Really couldn't have been more simple. I'm glad I purchased this one, was looking at NOCO since I'll be using this set up for a trolling motor on my Yak, but they want WAY too much for too little. This thing is super light, feels durable enough, just don't drop it from height or throw it at a wall. I might just keep it in a box in the truck 🤷♂️ even has a handle for portability. Overall I can't think of a reason not to give 5 stars. It works. It's simple enough. I like the display. Some people were complaining about not being able to use it in sunlight, it does say in the manual that you shouldn't use it in direct sunlight anyways (potential to overheat) i would buy this again, and i might!

I misplaced my old “trickle charger” so when I found my battery dead one morning I decided to replace it with a charger that was not 40 years old. This unit worked like champ. After going through the repair cycle I was able to get a full charge. A couple weeks later the battery still is holding its charge.

I was a bit skeptical because the box didn’t explicitly mention "Flooded" or "SMF" batteries, but after using it, I can confirm it works perfectly for Sealed Maintenance Free (SMF) lead-acid batteries. My car had been sitting for 4 weeks and the battery was deeply discharged—the built-in hydrometer (magic eye) was black and the car wouldn't even click. I hooked this up and it immediately recognized the 12V system and started a 7-stage charging cycle. What I liked: High Power: It started at nearly 19 Amps for the bulk charge (Stage 3), which provided a fast recovery. True Smart Logic: I watched the amperage decline steadily as the battery reached 14.5V (Absorption phase). It dropped all the way to ~1.9A before moving into the test/float stages. The "Full" Test: Stage 5 actually tests the battery's ability to hold a charge before giving the green light. Results: After 4 hours, my "Magic Eye" turned from black back to Green.

I bought this primarily to keep my weekend car topped off and to revive the occasional dead battery. On the performance side, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. It charges as quickly as I expected, and while I haven't tested the 24V/20A side of things on my 12V vehicle, it has been reliable for my needs so far. It stays cool during operation and successfully gets the job done. However, there are a few drawbacks to keep in mind: Build Quality: The housing is entirely plastic and feels a bit cheap in hand. I was hoping for something a bit more rugged. Ease of Use: The specific charging modes aren't very intuitive. You’ll definitely need to keep the instructions handy to understand what the different settings actually do. Noise: The cooling fan is quite loud when it's running. Features: It’s a straightforward charger. It won't provide a deep analysis of your battery's health, but it will put a charge into it. Overall, it’s a functional tool that works well, but the "plastic" feel and loud fan keep it from being a premium product. Decent for the price if you just need something that works.

I typically like to wait a while before reviewing items on here to ensure that I have ample time to use the item and accurately assess performance. In this case I needed to use it right out of the box, so my review is coming quicker this time! Overall first impressions: The unit is fairly compact and lightweight. The display is easy to read and the charger is intuitive. Once I connected it to my vehicle it automatically determined what type of batter was being charged, and displayed its current level of charge (11.4, which is below what it should have been). Actual use: I connected this to a diesel truck with a dead battery which was reading 11.4 volts and would not start. I left the unit connected for several hours not knowing how long it would actually take to recharge the battery. When I went out to check the status, mind you this was in 20 degree weather, I was happy to find that the battery was fully charged, as indicated on the bright display. I hopped into the truck and it fired right up! For years I had been using an older, metal charger that weighed about 20 pounds and had an antiquated display that only gave me very basic information. This Yonhan charger is FAR superior in every way to my old one, which now resides in the garbage lol. Summary: If you need a charger that can handle multiple battery types, gives you clear information about the state of your battery, and charges quickly then this is the unit to buy! The price point was right, the quality seems to be good and it functions exactly how it's supposed to.

I bought this charger to replace my 6 amp charger that I tried to use to charge my off grid solar battery system when it was foggy and cloudy for over a month. This Yonhan unit was able to charge my 4 golf cart batteries when they were about 40% down. It took most of the day but did successfully charge the batteries back to full power. Only problem is that I never was able to charge at a rate over 14 amps as measured by my quality clamp amp meter even though the charger display showed 17.8 amps. I suspect that the unit could have charged my system at a rate of 15amps if needed. It may charge at a higher rate with a different system, but 15 amps is good enough for me. The plus is that when I switch to a LiFePo4 system it will also work for those batteries.
