Very nice and clean looking. Waiting on shutters for my windows so I purchased these as a temporary fix. I like that there are no holes I have to put in my walls. At first I put up pillow cases and sheets with thumbtacks. So I need to fix the tiny hole. But with these it’s on the window directly and extremely attractive as well. It works pretty good to block out light, and is easy to install and remove. I got three and one of them wasn't assembled properly, the metal bar wasn't in the correct part of the plastic end, but I was able to correct it on my own. I ordered the "silver" BLACKOUT shade that is supposed to block 95% of the light. In the product photos, it looks like one side will be solid white, which leads to the impression that the shade is a solid color and will actually BLACKOUT the light, like it claims. As you can see in my pics, there's nothing "blackout" about it. It's a clear, plastic transparency film, the kind your school teachers used to use with an overhead projector and a dry-erase marker. The stiff-ish kind that makes a "whacka-whacka-whacka" sound when you shake it. It's not a solid color like the product photo shows. It's CLEAR, with a black "window screen" pattern printed on it. You can see right through it, from both inside and outside. So it doesn't even work as a privacy screen, much less a blackout shade. About the only thing it does is cut down on glare. The screen doesn't "ratchet" open; if you let go of it by accident (or if the suction cup doesn't stick), it'll instantly roll all the way back up with a loud SNAP that will scare you to death (and surely wake you up from a deep sleep). The only good thing about it is that the suction cups DO stick well with a little bit of moisture. It will work to cut down on the glare in a car's side window, but don't buy this thinking it will make any room darker or live up to its "blackout" claim. ... show more
