It has been over a month since this purchase and I have been extremely happy with the PetSafe Guardian GPS collar so far. The collar itself is lightweight and comfortable, my dog adjusted to wearing it almost immediately and it doesn’t seem bothered it at all. Setup through the app was straightforward, and creating custom boundaries was easier than I expected, even for an weird shape property. The GPS tracking has been very accurate, and the alerts are fast. I really like that you can customize the correction type e.g. tone and vibration which def made training much smoother and easier to adapt to my dog personality. After a short learning period, my dog clearly understands the boundaries and turns back as soon as the warning kicks in. Battery life has also been very solid and it lasts for days, which is a big plus since I don’t want to be charging it constantly. Overall, this collar has given me real peace of mind knowing my dog is safe (and don’t go into my neighbors property), even with plenty of room to run and explore. Reliable, easy to use, and well designed. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone with small-to-medium dog breeds who is looking for a GPS fence solution that actually works. ... show more

I recently purchased two of these for two dogs for Christmas. December 2025. Just outside the return window of course. They worked at first. It's nice to see where your dog is on the property. We have 30 acres and wanted to contain them into a fenced yard. They can climb gates. This collar helped at first. One started intermittently shocking (we can observe it off dog, while it is laying there) so we stopped using it because it's not something we can feel good about. Last night the second one didn't work as our dog escaped while wearing it. we got her home and tried to get it to vibrate or shock while carrying it and walking up to the fence this morning and it did not. It does show on the gps app, so it is connected. It's just not reliable. In order to train the dog there needs to be consistent reinforcement. So I'm feeling like I'm out not only the $400 for the collar but the annual fee required to use it. (x 2). My wife is not very happy. She asked me to send them back. I also wish the app kept a log of when the correction types are fired off or when the collar breaks the GPS fence. This might help me diagnose and correct. I went to the website and cannot find a way to let someone know and ask for help. There are ai chat bots with pre canned answers. If anyone knows how to fix it please let me know. I can't return it and had to buy the annual fee to use it, so I'd rather find a way to fix it and use it. I don't like giving bad reviews. I'm just frustrated. If I can fix it I will fix the review and share how it got fixed, if Amazon let's me update this review. ... show more

This product really exceeded my expectations. PetSafe Guardian GPS 2.0 is very easy to set up and the GPS fence system is accurate, so I can make area boundaries as needed without cables at all. The real-time tracking feature is very helpful to monitor the dog's position at any time, giving an extra sense of security. The collar is comfortable to wear, waterproof, and does not interfere with the dog's activities even if worn all day. Area boundary warning response is also fast and consistent. Pros: This does track my dog and tell me when he leaves the property. Cons: The smooth, rubber collar keeps loosening, so the prongs don't keep in contact with his skin... therefore... The perimeter correction is not effective. Even when it's tight on his neck, he doesn't respond to the correction, and I've tried various levels. The battery drains quickly. In order to keep tracking him, there's a monthly fee. I think it's too expensive for these cons. If you just want to track your pet, there's probably less expensive ways to do it. ... show more
