Came in one good size box. Fairly easy to assemble. Instructions were like most now days, mainly pictures. Build quality is good for the price. I have about an acre and a quarter of land, all grass. I figured that it would pay for itself by me doing it two or three times a year. I mounted two large cinder blocks onto the shelf. They fit perfectly, adding the extra weight you need for the tangs to properly penetration into the soil. Even though my soil was somewhat dry, it did a good job at removing plugs. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and would recommend it.

This has been worth the money. It is a little lite weight and it is hard to keep the weight on the rack, but with the help of some bungee cords I fixed that issue.

I almost feel bad leaving a one star review for a product before I even use it, but this has to be one of the worst assembling items I have ever dealt with. And I typically enjoy assembling things and rarely have too many issues. This one was an absolute nightmare to put together. The instructions even contradict themselves on several steps with one part being completely reversed in the next step. They also left out an entire step. Luckily it was towards the end of assembly and was one of the easier, more obvious parts. I understand ordering online from a site like Amazon means assembly will be required but this aerator could not have been more unassembled and was not fun to put together but all. If I wasn't so stubborn I would have stopped halfway through and returned it. This might be the last time I buy any type of "machinery" off of Amazon and will probably stick with the more well known, and slightly more expensive brands. In this case, I think you definitely get what you pay for. Now it's time to see if it actually functions better than it went together...

Husband put it together. Then he added concrete blocks for extra weight and drove it over the rock hard lawn. Really has helped. I'm sure we will use it every year cause we have oak trees that sap the lawn of nutrients and sunshine.
