  • Best value Pellet Pizza Cooker
Style: Wood Fired Pizza Oven with Rotating
Overall it's the best value in an entry level oven that I've found. The rotation handle is a great feature and I found that rotating it a third of the throw each minute is just about perfect. I did find it took a while to get the pellets to really light off. One thing I found was that if you put a small torch in the back of the pellet tray (see photo) and light them from behind, it seems to light off better as the air flow then moves through the oven and out the chimney. Otherwise, you are opening and closing all the time. It's pretty cold out where I live (35 F) but I was able to get it up to 550 F and the pizza cooked in 3 minutes and the crust and smoke taste was excellent. Also, adding a couple fire starter cubes with the pellets keeps the flame going especially at the start of the fire which helps a ton! But for under 70 dollars, the quality, function, and value is pretty amazing. Update... after struggling to the oven over 550, I placed a small battery powered fan behind the pellet hopper on a relatively low setting the the same pellets heated to 850. Definitely use some sort of fan to help with draft and flames. Make all the difference! ... show more

  • Stellar Little Thing
I'll preference this with I bought it as a gift, not knowing if it'd be as good as it appeared to be but holy pepperoni, it's great! The heat level cooks, and if not careful, can overcook which should give you the inclination that the cook times are good. It made the pies we put in taste amazing, and that paired with the ease of use made it good for family times. And yes, naturally, it functions. ... show more

  • Great beginner pizza oven
Great beginners oven with almost everything needed to make a pizza. It is well made and study , heats up fast and cooks very fast. Knocking off one star because the door can be tricky to open and close when it’s very hot, apparently the heat expands and distorts the metal making it fickle to get open. Also, one hopper full of pellets will make one pizza , including warm up. So if you have multiple pizzas to make, expect a lot of loading pellets to keep it going. Over all I’m happy as I didn’t want to invest in a very expensive oven to start with , as I do pizza making for fun and not very often. I would recommend it for a beginner or someone unsure if they would enjoy cooking pizzas , more experienced or demanding cooks may find this lacks features they would want. ... show more

  • Mine didn't work right out of the box
Mine doesn't work every time you try and light it It blows itself out. I spent over an hour trying to get it to work. I contacted the company and asked for a replacement And they said they didn't have any so they gave me a refund so that was good. I can't speak to how well it works because mine doesn't right out of the box. ... show more

  • Perfect summer pizza solution.
This is a great summer solution for making pizza without heating up the kitchen First of all, the shipping was super fast (yay). And it was packed incredibly well: a box inside a larger box, with foam panels in between. Arrived in perfect condition. I did a test-run firing of the oven. I used Traeger blend pellets (oak, apple, cherry...in a 30lb bag at the orange place or wherever BBQ stuff is sold). I started the pellets by lighting a Weber fire-starter cube in the ash tray, then slid it into position under the tray full of pellets in the stove. Within five minutes, the pellets were smoking heavily. Within ten minutes, they had ignited fully, and I was able to load more pellets into the hopper above. Within 30 minutes, I checked the surface temperature of the pizza stone with an infrared thermometer, and it was around 750F already. Within 40 minutes, it was over 900F. I tested the combustion rate twice, filling the hopper to within a half-inch of the top and closing the lid. Both times, the entire hopper full of pellets was consumed within 15 minutes, but there were still plenty of embers to reignite fresh pellets. My first attempt at baking a pizza severely underestimated how quickly thing works. I mean, it was done in under a minute. The only negative thing I experienced was with the door, which is a little fussy when the oven is hot. Is it high-end? No. But the build quality seems pretty solid. All in all, I am really impressed. And for the price, I can NOT take a star off simply because the door was a little fussy. Looking forward to a lot a delicious pizzas. If you're on the fence, I hope this has been helpful one way or the other. ... show more

  • Works great
I like the fact you can mechanically turn the stone 180+ degrees. Works just like the ones that cost 3 times more. The only mod I did was the turning handle below is held on with 2 screws. Storing it is odd because it sticks out. I swapped the 2 screws with brass thumb screws so the handle pops right off and the storage bag slips on even better now. You have to preheat it to dragon fire temps for that flash cook. It will still cook at lower temps too just take a little longer. I got it up to 700-800 and the pizza cooked in seconds. You have to be fast other wise it's toast. So I lowered the temp to 500 and it comes out great. It gives you time to work it. As I get used to it I will go up in temp as I get faster. You can make you own dough or buy a dough ball at grocery store. Store bought dough will make 2 pizzas. Our grocer has sour dough, beer and regular pizza dough. Quick and easy and fun to make. The fact its portable is awesome. I had it on a plastic table and was worried that at those molten temps the table might melt, nope zero issues. It has three collapsible legs and is sturdy and holds it high enough there is very little heat transfered to the surface. One thing , do not use this inside. Get an electric one for that or stove. The electric ones work great too but I wanted outdoor portability when camping. ... show more

  • Need practice before useing
It is a little shallow for me, I’ve never done it before and found my self hitting top of the inside of the oven trying to get the pizza onto the stone . However watched a few YouTube videos and hope to be better prepared next time
