My 10 year old son saved his birthday money to buy this for himself. We received it in June and he was so excited because this was his first big purchase for himself. He has been taking really good care of it, he actually never even rode it outside. Fast forward to this weekend (Nov 28th) and he decided to ride it. It started shaking uncontrollably, the left wheel did not spin and the unit became hot to the touch. We tried to power it off because the temperature continued to rise on it. I had to put it outside in the yard because we were afraid it was going to start on fire. The unit finally overheated, I assume, and shut down. I immediately contacted the seller to see if they would stand behind their product, I received a response this morning that it was out of warranty and take it to a repair shop. Needless to say my son is crushed and I will be on the hunt for a more reputable company to buy another hooverboard. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We bought this for our daughter for Christmas and followed directions to the letter and as you can see at the end of the video it just stops working. I’ve calibrated it, it just powers off throwing my daughter to the ground. The battery was fully charged and when plugged in it plutons right back on with a full battery. Waiting for a response now from the company and will follow up with results. At this point I would not recommend this product for safety reasons. Update: Customer service was very responsive and quick to communicate with additional steps to troubleshoot and when that didn’t work they issued the RMA. We had to pay return shipping but was promised full refund including shipping. Great customer service! ... show more

This is a great hoverboard my daughter loves. The self balancing is GREAT as my daughter's friends are able to hop and and take very little time to find their balance. I only wish the battery life was a little longer. My daughter will run this all over the house and in just about an hour in will need to charge it again. this probably has a lot to do with the LED lights on the wheels which I do not believe you can turn off. My 12 yr old grandson mowed a lot of lawns to earn money to buy this product. He loves it! BUT battery needs charged every 20 minutes. We recommend research this product battery life for yourself.

We had to return it after only a few weeks. I’m glad it pooped out so quick so we wouldn’t be out of warranty. My son saved up his money for a Hoover board. We bought him one for Christmas from a different brand and that one didn’t hold a charge so we were very careful to search for one with good reviews. Sadly this one was no different. One side would slant forward and wouldn’t spin. We tried to turn on and off, and trouble shoot according to the sellers instructions but nothing worked. My son is so disappointed but we have all agreed there will be no more Hoover boards. ... show more
