Bought two of these - one each for each of my two grandsons, ages 8 and 10. Did a lot of research before deciding on this model and this brand. Came well packaged, easy out of the box. Initial impression was very well made, solid and precision construction. A real vehicle vs. just a toy. Youngest tried first, and within 10 minutes was moving and turning independently. Older grandson, more cautious, was equally quick to catch on. Before long they were fully capable of playing "hockey" on the hoverboards - forward, reverse, spinning, stopping. Great alternate to the sedation intoxication of video games. I believe my initial concern about the weight of the boards actually contributes to the steadiness under power. The large rubber wheels and significant weight seem to provide a very smooth ride, even on rough terrain. Amazing how a 50 pound child can control a board that can handle over 250 pounds! These will continue to provide fun and transportation as the boys grow. After two weeks, the boys can't get enough riding. The boards hold a charge all day and get plugged in overnight. A premium product well worth the premium price. FOLLOW UP - The youngest broke his leg playing hockey so we bought him the Balancing Scooter Go Kart Attachment so he can continue to ride his hoverboard while his leg heals in a cast. Also a premium product, very well made.

Testing the New G2 Hoverboard Warrior

We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to test the Groor G2 hoverboard! My boys, ages 10 and 12, have had an absolute blast riding it. It’s sturdy, made with high-quality, durable materials, and truly feels built to last. Even my husband couldn’t resist taking it for a spin! The ride is smooth, it’s easy to use, and it’s been a huge hit with our whole family. We’re now just waiting on our rebate, and the experience has been great so far. If you’re looking for a reliable hoverboard from a company that stands behind its products, I highly recommend the Groor G2. We couldn’t be happier with the quality and performance!

Best gift we've ever bought — kids haven't put it down

We got this for our 9-year-old and honestly the whole family has taken turns on it. The 8.5-inch all-terrain wheels are the real deal — our kids ride it over grass, gravel, and cracked sidewalks without a second thought. No wobbling, no getting stuck. It handles rough surfaces way better than the cheaper flat-wheel hoverboards we looked at. The self-balancing feature made learning surprisingly fast. Our daughter was riding confidently within about 20 minutes, and our 7-year-old wasn't far behind. The LED lights are bright and look awesome at dusk, and the Bluetooth speaker actually pumps out decent sound — the kids love cruising around with music blasting. Build quality feels solid and sturdy — not flimsy at all. Battery life has been great too; we get multiple long sessions before needing to recharge. Adults can absolutely ride this comfortably, which makes it even more worth the price. If you're on the fence, just buy it. Zero regrets.

This is one my absolute favorite toys now. I recommend wearing protective gear while learning. It is quite fun to ride. The tires are solid. It is Bluetooth capable. And also has lights. Easy to charge. No assembly required. Sized to accommodate adult weight. Speed easily adjusts.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!
I have never actually sent in a review for any purchase I have bought from Amazon (And there have been a lot of them!!) I felt compelled to leave this review so that others will not make the same mistake we did and hopefully save some disappointment from your kids (or yourself) in purchasing these hoverboard combos. If I could give this a negative star review I would. We purchased 2 of these combos for our kids for Christmas. They were so excited to get them and try them out. Out of the box it seemed promising, they feel sturdy and are heavy. The assembly directions leave a little something to be desired, but we could figured it out and that is where the positive things end. The first one worked for 1 ride and the second time riding it would turn itself off after about 10 seconds and only 1 wheel would work, so you could only go around in circles. We did all the resets that were online and via their website and nothing worked, only 1 wheel would turn and then it would turn off. The second one worked for 1 day. The 2nd day they went to try it out and it did not turn on at all. When I went to check the charger to make sure it wasn't just a dead battery and hadn't charged, the cord popped and sparked at the charging port. I immediately contacted the Gyroor email that is listed for customer service. After several emails and me having to send them video of the problem, they told me that it was a problem with the main board and they would send me a new one to replace myself. This is a BRAND NEW piece of equipment and they expected me to change the main component of it myself and trust that it would work and all would be well. I refused to do this. After several responses from Gyroor telling me they would send me a new board and I would just have to replace it myself and how easy it was I decided it was time to request a refund from the seller at Amazon. This seller approved the refund but when I looked at the return shipping label, it was not paid, I was expected to pay to return something that was defective from the start!! I responded that I should receive paid return shipping as each of these weighs about 40 lbs, so it is expensive to ship back. I should absolutely not have to pay to ship back an item that is defective and DOES NOT work!! The seller response to me was to send video to Gyroor and see what they could do--I had already explained that I had done this in previous emails and I wanted a refund with paid shipping back to them. It is now almost 2 weeks after Christmas and I am still fighting to get a refund with shipping back to the seller. We did our research and read reviews on this brand and felt we were making a good choice for a gift for our children and are extremely disappointed that not only did the devices not work (and with the sparking of the charger are completely unsafe!) but that we are being given the run around from their customer service trying to return it. I cannot reiterate enough--DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!

Great hoverboard solid and sturdy. Rides great on all surfaces for my 11yo daughter. Parental controls on app are great for speed control and stability. Had a small problem with the board and their warranty department was fast in response amd resolved the issue right away.

Failure at 11mo, but honoring warranty

UPDATE: Support finally got back to us. They are honoring their warranty and sending replacement circuit boards promptly. Now that they are responding again, we are happy with how quickly they have been replying. Looking forward to enjoying this board again! TLDR: Watch out for proprietary components. Hoverboard repair kits won't fit the internal mounting brackets, so you have to rely on Gyroor, and you can't find these parts on their site. One side stopped working at the 11mo mark. Lights turn on, won't balance or roll on one side. Reached out to support, they were responsive at first, gave us a complex set of instructions to test a bunch of internal components and wires. Followed all instructions, sent all requested videos, now radio silence. If they won't replace the board, we'd at least like to replace the component circuit boards because (WARNING) they are proprietary! Good luck finding a hoverboard repair kit online that fits the same mounting holes. Other than this emerging customer service headache, the board itself was a treat. Worked well over both smooth and rough ground. Got the kart attachment and had a ton of fun. The app is annoying. Couldn't figure out how to get the board to stop beeping all the time, so that wasn't great, but the kids didn't mind. Range seemed fine, but would've liked a little more riding time on a full charge.
