This arrived on a Tuesday evening. Wednesday morning we were running late only to find the van dead. I ran inside, opened the box and quickly jumped the vehicle. No other car with jumper cables like before. The following day my brother borrowed the van to move my nephew. I have a parasitic draw somewhere. I told him not to use any electrical unless the engine was running. He decided to use the flashers while parked with the engine off. It died. I walked him through using this and he quickly jumped the van. I left it in the van, even though it was below zero several nights in a row. But three or so days later I needed another jump. The unit worked and jumped the van again. That’s 3 jumps in less than a full week, without recharging (although I should have) and sittting out in the cold. Worth every penny. ... show more

UPDATE to review: Changed the stars from 2 to 4. After emailing the vendor directly, they made this problem right by sending me a brand new charger at no cost. Apparently, their webpage contact page was not sending emails to them. After sending them an email directly, they immediately replaced the unit at no cost. The charger is an excellent device and works great. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 based on the fact that the negative clamp did break upon use. I would recommend this product. It really is a great item. This product worked perfectly before the negative clamp broke. On the 3rd time using it, the clamp broke at the hinges. I was not going to post a negative review here, but.... I emailed yes-per from their website (which does NOT have a phone number) to report this. It is under warranty and this part should be replaced immediately. The issue now.... I got no response from the email that I sent to the company. Not so much as an acknowledgement that I emailed them. I emailed them twice from their webpage and once from my email program. Although I have little confidence they will respond to this review since they will not respond to an email sent directly to them via their own webpage. So, at this point, if warranty means anything to you, you might want to consider a different product and vendor that responds to issues. So aggravating. In the unlikely chance that they respond to this review and make things right, I will revise this review. I am under the impression they either don't care due the volume of customers they have or someone responsible is just too lazy to do their job. ... show more

I used this product to jump my car off in below zero weather. I followed the instructions thoroughly. It didn't start the first time. But when I hit that booster it fired right up. This is a good investment for the price.

I decided to buy the YESPER YJS40 after seeing it reviewed on Project Farm (a GREAT YouTube channel that reviews stuff). I bought it about 2 months ago to keep in my truck and go on my boat with me. After fully charging it, I put it in my truck and left it. Yesterday, I decided to take my neighbor's 1955 Chevy for a ride with my son. Since they've been gone for almost a month in Australia, the battery was totally 100% dead. I hooked it up, and nothing happened. That's because the battery was completely dead. I then remembered the booster button. Once I hit it, the car started turning over immediately as if it had a full battery. It took 4 long cranks, since it hadn't been started in so long. The Yesper kept cranking it like a new battery. Once I got the car started, only 1 segment on the Yesper charge status bar had dropped. So, it most likely could have kept cranking a lot, lot, lot longer. I have decided to purchase a second one, so I can always have one in my truck and one in the boat, because I know I'll forget to swap it when I actually need it. Well, I'll most likely get a third one for my wife's car and attempt my best to teach her how to use it. (I'm already dreading that). The YESPER YJS40 is small and light, so keeping it in a car or boat is not an issue at all. My ONLY criticism is that the booster button is hard to see, feel and push. But that is a very minor criticism. I highly recommend this product. If I remember, I'll do a one year update. ... show more
