I really like this little thing. There is a trick to assembly, I got you as I couldn't figure it out for a bit. After you put the chain on, there is a screw in the housing that you need to adjust so that the chain is not floppy. Then it stays in place nicely. I picked this up as my father was loving the one I had so much that he stole it from me. As the one I purchased before was no longer on sale, I picked up this one to save a few bucks. I was pleased to see the release button was actually easier to press, as it wasn't stiff and oddly placed like my other one. This fits all the jobs too big for nippers put I would feel silly pulling out a full-sized chainsaw for. It also comes with an extra chain, which I haven't needed in the few times I have used this. The only thing I don't like about this saw is the battery doesn't seem to last very long at all. However, it does come with 2 battery packs, but you need to make sure they're both charged when you start your project so that when the first one runs down you have the other one to put on and keep going. ... show more

Works does the job but battery life sucks and chain keeps on loosening have to tighten the screw to fix almost all the time

Their item info states "Our mini electric chainsaw is equipped with a 24V 2000mAh rechargeable lithium battery, providing long-lasting power." I wanted to buy more of these batteries and found they only come in 20 volts. I tested the batteries and sure enough they were only 20 volts. It looks like each of these sellers are trying to out doing each other by lying about battery size! This form factor only comes in 20 volts but they can come in different watt hours (Wh) = # of batteries in side. The bolt pulled out that holds the chain bar on rendering the saw totally useless. It's only held in but I don't even know maybe a little piece of plastic. There's not even some rough edges on the bolt to help hold it in. This has got to be strong because it's the main part that holds the saw blade while you're cutting. Also the chain bar gets plugged up easy because there's no Oiler. Mine clogged up with tree gunk and stopped the blade from turning. I had to use lots of wd40 to free it and lots of tugging on the chain. There are better saws at just a small price increase. This saw even felt more like a toy than others. Bottom line to saw no longer works I'm out 50 bucks. Plus I do not like false advertising by saying that it's 24 volts when it's actually only 20 it's just a marketing ploy and they're lying. In the first picture I even have it plugged into the charger and it's fully charged and it's still only 20 volts. It's a scam. ... show more
