That's Not The End Of the World being You Can Get a Swivel Adaptor or a Quick Connector Will Fix That Problem But This Hose Is Super STIFF and I needed Something Very Flexible So This Might Be Going Back But The Fittings Are Super Nice Quality and the Hose Seems Pretty Good! I Can't Imagine trying To Get This To Wrap on a Hose Reel! It's Stiff When Warm So Cold It Would Be Even Worse, I Got The 5 Foot So a 100 or 75 foot Would Be Impossible To Fight With. If Your Looking For a Stiff Hose This Is The One! It's Almost a Pipe! Once You Kink It I would Think It Will Always Kink In That Same Area?

I've been very pleased with this hose. It is heavy duty with excellent ends. It's heavier made than my "heavy duty" home improvement store hose, which also means it doesn't kink. The only problem I have with it is using care to not crush small border plants. I bought it to clear my clogged gutter drains. It was stiff enough to be shoved from the street side and blast all that debris loose, without simply trying to roll up in the pipe. Since then it's my favorite hose over the last year.

Not my best hose but good for what I paid and I saved a trip to the store. Most stores carry similar or less quality hose. This hose kinks just a tad but will straighten out and certainly with water pressure it stays unkinked whereas other hoses I’ve bought just kind of crinkle up and don’t unlink. There are better, sturdier hoses out there but this is a solid middle of the road if you just need linear footage and don’t mind having to unkink as you lay it out.

My first priority was replacing the metal hose I ordered here a month ago that continuously gave off a skunk like chemical smell. Second was to have brass connectors as I have suffered the pain of having aluminum connectors fuse to brass in the past which result in faucet replacements. Those boxes were checked. The diameter is good at 5/8" The walls of the hose are extremely thin which cause it to kink in 6 or 7 places right out of the package. This was a pain but the bright side is that the easy kinks did not result in permanent creases and could be twisted out. I am laying out the hose straight in the sun to see if I can get it to resist kinking. File this under they don't make them like they used to.

Wow, what a horrible hose. I live in NC, it's not even that cold here and the hose is so stiff and prone to kinks I can't even get it to hang on my hose reel. It's brand new and I went to check on it after literally one night in 42 degree weather and it has developed TWO permanant kinks. It's basically made of plastic, not rubber. It seems super tough, like a pipe. But for a hose it's horrible, you can't get it to lay, just holds it's shape and creases.
