  • A quality made guitar for the price
I’m 68 and Just getting started with the guitar. In retirement I want to keep learning and to keep my mind active. Sick and tired of crossword puzzles! This Yamaha FG800 is perfect for my needs and does not break the bank. Stays in tune and sounds great. Love the vintage tint. A beautiful guitar!

  • The perfect ‘beginner’ guitar!!!
This is my second guitar.... I never learned to play my first it because it was very hard to play.…… meaning, it was not very well-built, never stayed in tune, and hurt my fingers...thus I became frustrated and never learned to play. That first guitar sat in my closet and collected dust. I finally decided to take guitar lessons, for the first time in 2021 with the old guitar... That night, after my first lesson, with aching fingers, I decided to get a better guitar! Just about every online review led me to the Yamaha FG800.. I’m glad I got it. It is easy to play and sound great and, well built! ... show more

  • Better than I expected for the price
It was perfectly set up out of the box. It sounds like a much more expensive guitar, and the finish and neck are flawless.

  • Great Guitar for the Price
I bought this to take camping so as to avoid taking one of my high-end guitars, since it is likely to get beat up a bit and to experience a range of temperature and humidity. It has a good action and intonation, and a decent voice for the price (of course, not as nice compared with a high-end guitar, and a little on the treble side with less midrange than I'm used to). Construction seems good (straight neck, good tuners, etc.). Inexpensive guitars like this one have really improved over the years, especially compared with the old Stella that I learned on as a kid. This guitar would be a great choice for a student or (like in my case) someone who wants a decent guitar at a reasonable price to be used in challenging environments. ... show more

  • Fantastic guitar!
I really love this guitar. I am a beginner guitar player, so I don't have a lot to compare it with, but I think it looks and sounds great. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. It was well worth the price.

  • This is the one!
Beautiful sound and aesthetics... I’m a beginner who has been a beginner for almost 40 years. This feels like the one! It arrived early the shipping was extremely fast and it was well packed. Initially I was disappointed it did not come bundled with a case, but now I’m so glad that it did not. Purchased a stand and now I have a beautiful piece of art on display and I find with it in the stand I tend to pick it up daily. Very satisfied. ... show more

I rarely write any reviews. I was hesitant to buy a guitar online but i took a chance and im glad i did. I appreciate people involved into the packaging of the Guitar. Great efforts. I have been learning guitar in quarantine and i got little better with my cheap beginner guitar. This is a perfect upgrade from my beginner to intermediate guitar. This guitar looks beautiful and plays beautiful. ... show more
