The dress was bought for my mother for a wedding. The length was longer than expected. The top part was too big and had to be altered. The waist was tighter. With it being altered and e looked beautiful some Spanx she looked beautiful.

I normally wear a 30/32, but after reading other reviews about the separate lining being tight and riding up, I decided to order a 34. It was a perfect fit! I'm 5'4" and this dress comes all the way down to my ankles. The chest V hangs VERY low, but since the dress is with thick straps, I just shortened the straps to raise the chest up to a more modest area, it also made the dress length about 4" shorter, which was great for me! And yes, the dress has a solid dark silky lining, but it's only attached at the top, not down the sides....so it will easily slide/ride up if the size is not a little loose; hence why I ordered the next size up. The details on this dress are just absolutely beautiful! I didn't notice in the pics, but the sleeves have a slit from the wrist to the elbow, this makes it drape and flow really pretty! ... show more
