Everyone should have this scanner in their toolbox. Outstanding 2-in-1 Scanner. It reads engine codes via the OBD2 port on the vehicle to help you troubleshoot issues with your vehicle when you get the Engine Light on, and it can test batteries. I mainly got this scanner for the battery test function. It is fast and provides great information about the health of the battery you are testing. Easy to follow menu items and the display is easy to read since it has multiple colors for text. As for the scanner itself, it has many different functions for battery testing based on the type of battery. You just tell it what kind of battery, MCA and other information and it performs the test quickly and give you great feedback on the test. I tested one of my camper deep cycle batteries and as you see below from the output my battery came back with "Normal". I highly recommend this scanner. It is a great value with or without the coupon on Amazon. I order the scanner and I had it the next day from Amazon. I hope you found this review helpful.

I’m really impressed with this Yakry 2‑in‑1 OBD2 scanner and battery tester. The setup was basically instant—plug it in and it loads the vehicle almost immediately. The battery tester is just as solid. It gives accurate readings for health, charge level, and starting capability, which is super helpful before cold weather or long drives. This is an amazing device. So easy to use. I plugged the two pieces together to test my trucks battery. It has an internal device that detected that I did not connect it to the terminal itself which was good otherwise it would give a false reading. You can adjust the battery reader based on the type of battery you are testing, agm vs regular for example. You can also adjust the crank amps for the test. Came back showing 100% health which I figured since my battery is only about 13 months old. I then tested it inside my truck and connected it to my obd2 plug. No faults found. It can also pull up vehicle information to match the Vin number to the vehicle it is connected to. And displays all test areas the vehicle has which connect to the ecu. For example catalyst 1 and 2. And oxygen sensors, etc. Pretty nice device for the price. The manual it comes with helps, but I really did not need it. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a device to keep on hand incase you need to test your vehicle for check engine light or battery issues.

Fine little scanner for the cost. My only negative is it doesn’t come with any type of case. I assume most folks, like myself, would keep the tool in their car - and would need a case.

The interface is simple and straightforward, and it gave me quick, accurate results without any hassle. Great scanner! Has a number of functions my old scanner does not include, mainly the battery tester, which is one of the reasons why I purchased. My Subaru battery seemed a little low this winter on startup but the tester showed good health so that’s reassuring. You can see the reading in the first photo. I believe the slower than normal cranking was just due to the cold weather. I did a regular scan and it was much quicker than my old scanner and includes a lot more functionality so I’ll keep this in the car so I have a way to check things if the car has issues. I’m regularly out of cell service in the sticks so this can be very handy. Also, I saw that one person mentioned this doesn’t work for some manufacturers. It seems to work great for my Subaru. My only gripe, which isn’t much, is an included case. Since there are separate clamps for the battery test, it would be nice to include at least a carrying bag but I have plenty of old ones I can use. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this scanner so I definitely recommend!

This scanner was very easy to work with and I did not read any manual to figure it out. It worked flawlessly with a 2012 Ford Expedition and a 2023 GMC Acadia. I like that it can perform different test on the battery. This was easier and faster to work with then the bluetooth one I have that works with my smartphone.

Works great on my 2009 Camry. Easy to use. Great price. I know nothing about cars but even I could figure out how to use it. I have only used it once so far but it has already saved me about $150.00. Simple to set up.
