Has lasted 2 seasons now. We're using filter balls instead of a sand medium. The settings for vacuum, filter, backwash etc have faded but other than that it works fine.

We replaced the cartridge filter that came with our above ground pool with this sand filter. It was tricky to install but wouldn't be if you did it prior to the water being at hose level. Immediately made a difference in the water. Would recommend!

This pump has a lot of power and really cleans my pool well, but it does leak around the house ends, and you have to do some modifications.

The pump that came with my pool was horrible and after 2 months my pool was green. After spending way too much money on chemicals I decided to buy this Sand Filter Pump. After getting it set up (with a lot of difficulty due to poor instructions), we have a beautiful blue pool again! The before and after pictures speak for themselves!!!

Pattern Name: Sand Filter with 3/4hp Pump
This thing leaks at every possible spot, even after using thread tape and lubing the filter o-ring. And the (new) supplied hose had three pinholes and I replaced it with a reinforced braided hose. After re-evaluating, taking everything apart and using 2 rolls of thread tape and pipe dope to make better seals I was able to stop all leaks, much more work than should have been needed. And the supplied instructions are suspect at best. The filter and base do not match up, at least the ones supply me didn’t, do not ‘click’ together as per instructions and had to be modified by me to work, no big deal but one shouldn’t have to make modifications or replace new parts from the get go. And the instructions make no mention about the pressure gauge whatsoever. Again no big deal if you have some knowhow, but it should be in the instructions. It’s now up and operational and working well, time will tell about its endurance.
