I have been using this scanner for the past two months and find it to be an extremely valuable addition to my toolbox. I am not a professional mechanic but I do all of my own repairs and take care of relatives and friends vehicles as well. I own several OBD scanners, including some from Xtools and others manufacturers, but I find this IP508S OBD2 Scanner to be, hands-down, the easiest to use and the very best so far. In my opinion, it is a great value for the price and it has paid for itself multiple times over. Some scanners are vehicle specific but this one works on all newer makes and models. For example, using it on my Mercedes it has tests and functions that aren't there on another scanner (which is dedicated strictly to Mercedes). It is simply plug and play when switching between vehicles and with the automatic software update I know it's always current. I've used it on Mercedes, Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, Chevy and others and it has worked flawlessly. Overall operation is easy to learn and similar to using an Android phone or tablet. In addition to Diagnostics, it has built in WiFi (internet browser), easy to save screenshots (saving codes for later reference), storage space, plus you can view and record live data with playback capabilities. The diagnostics function is solid and when troubleshooting a problem with an error code it will even do an Internet search on the code and direct you to relevant sites for assistance. I am 100% sold on this scanner and like I said, it's more than paid for itself by saving me troubleshooting time and letting me do my own repairs. It's small enough that when I travel away from home by car or truck I will be sure to have it with me, just it case of a problem. If a problem or warning light pops ups, it'll only take a minute to scan for the trouble code and decide the best course of action. Sometimes a simple reset of a code or light can be enough to get you going again. I highly recommend this scanner and plan on purchasing a second one as a gift for my son. ... show more

Compro una guagua en la RD, una camioneta Ford Explorer Sportrac Limited 4x4 y ... bueno... ya no es facil de mantener su vehicilo alla. Para mi este aparetico es tan importante que la rueda de repuesto... que lo quedo siempre en la guagua. Es un computadora de diagnostico, no de programación, hay forma de imprimir y exportar los resurtados en PDF y tambien tiene una version Adobe Acrobat Reader entonces puedes usar el Document Cloud. Es una tableta Android 10.0 pero sin Playstore, pues hay Chrome, forma de escuchar música y ver videos y de leer correos electronicos... ya no es mal. Es una version con cable ODB-VGA... el lado ODB va en la guagua, el lado vga va en la tableta (el vga es solamente el formato del conector noy hay relacion con la vidéo...) Tiene un cargador universal (con cabesas por el mundo entero), se carga por el OSB (muy lento) y por el cargardor USB de celular... y suporte de ser cargado por USB cuando conectado por OSB al la guagua, y eso es chulos . ... show more

First its features , special Function , with this every doer is his own mechanic and i am proud to say who looks to save money on diagnostic repairs oh.......yes this is a step up!!!! TPMS ,lets say you are having a problem with your sensor light go to TPMS put in make , model , and of course the year. go in to diagnostic mode instantly you received your reading all sensor are working save my self a lot of money , reading improper air in my tires . wow really , problem solve. BMS . no more using test lights , volt meters . with this set up again year make and model and instantly it guides to your steps people my diagnostic turn out to be a faulty connector plug to the alternator wiggle it the voltage goes up and down. wow that was fast and I save myself some repairs I was told I need a new harness. wrong !!! went to part store look in accessories bingo there it is problem solve connector. loving this IP508S already!!! EPB Electronic parking brakes , that's right lets talk about it . i have seen top mechanics take off the parking brake motor in order to do a brake repairs and i seen in some cases once installed back there's a problem or a malfunction with the EPB or electronic parking brakes. here's where the IP508S smart scanner comes in . tap on EPB year make and model instantly your being guided on this procedure showing the steps to take in releasing electronic parking brakes and also to contract motor back . I really am feeling this scan tool and viewers you will too . ABS bleeding , well here we go. I admire this feature and no more wondering is the brakes blade correctly . tap on people and go make and model , now there your being guided through the step for applying the brakes for automatic bleed allowing air to be removed out the brake system, wow come on now. this scanner is good........ throttle learning , steering angle, oil reset, injector coding . people there's no need to go any further. I have to say for the Home garage mechanic this is the tool, and it's a bang for your buck. oh did I also mention it has remote control as well , ok lets say your having a problem with a diagnostic situation. you can use remote to send your diagnosis and off the top TeamViewer will view and assist with you in solving you vehicle problem, amazing. folks I wont to give this 5 stars but instead I will give it something better, Two thumbs up!!!!!!!
