The market is flooded with outdoor lights, many of which disappoint right out of the box. That's why finding a set that stands out, like the XMCOSY 96-foot Outdoor String Lights, is worth sharing. These lights are what professional event planners often use, and for good reason. Upon opening and testing them before installation on my backyard roofline, I was pleased to discover a high-quality product. Design & Coverage: This single strand features 30 lights, spaced approximately 3 feet apart, covering a total length of 96 feet. This offers substantial coverage compared to many similar sets that only span 40 to 50 feet. Additionally, you can connect multiple strands for an extended run, ideal for outdoor seating areas where crisscrossing overhead lights might be needed. Build Quality: The lights are well-made, with thick, molded fixtures and shatterproof bulbs. Each bulb features a small "T" handle drop-down for easy hanging. They emit a warm white light at 2700K, perfect for creating a cozy evening ambiance. The set also includes hanging hooks and zip ties for convenient setup. Functionality: These lights are straightforward to use with a simple plug-in design. They lack remote control and smart features like automatic dusk activation, so you'll need to connect them to a standard 110V AC outlet, possibly using an extension cord. Our focus this spring and summer is to continue enhancing the design and functionality of our backyard and porch. We want both to be eye-catching at night. We have been placing fairy lights here and there in the yard, as well as adding new flowers, bushes, and trees. We've recently realized that we have almost completely ignored our porch that directly overlooks the back yard! We visited our son's family recently, and admired their addition of café-type string lights strung in the trees around and over their fire pit. We searched for and found these XMCOSY+ 48FT String Lights. We definitely can use these draped from our high porch ceiling. The Edison bulbs and fan design are perfect, as our porch's ceiling fan has a similar facade. Our home is painted white, so we have been using black/white accessories and this string lighting will nicely match. Another good reason for this product is the string has 16 warm lights which will help light up our porch without overpowering it. The lights are dimmable, so they can be adjusted depending on the mood setting you want to achieve. The light string also includes handy hooks and ties, which will certainly help when placing the lights around the porch ceiling. By the way, if you choose to use them outside they're waterproof.     • Nice Dimmable Lights but Not E26 Base and Uses Bi-Pin Lights.

Got these for the back of my house to see around the area at night. Considering I have several string lights around the property hooked up to batteries and solar panels, I can safely say that these lights work just as well and can even be dimmed if you wanted to set a specific tone. Pros: -Good light output overall. <Though they don't compare to a regular 800lm bulb, they put out enough light that even at 8-9ft up, you can see where you are going. -Very low wattage used. <This is perfect for using with portable power stations and will last hours if not multiple days with even the smallest of batteries. -Dimmable. <Though these lights have low luminosity to begin with, they can be dimmed even further which is nice if you want to watch a movie or have a fire going and don't want to ruin the mood. Cons: -Total Luminosity. <These are not the brightest lights you can get if you are looking for total output. -The wiring is not particularly thick and though it is durable enough, it is a bit more fragile than some others. -Not E26 base and different type of bulb than I'm familiar with. <I was thinking that these would work with normal light bulbs as it states "E26 base and 110v" but was sorely mistaken. Take a look at the 5th tab image and the "spare bulb" picture specifically. It will show you that it has a screw on shell, but the bulb is a 2-pin insert type. It is an inaccurate description and I prefer to keep similar sets of lights rather than having to keep track of which spare bulb goes with which light. ... show more

    • Nice long string of lights!

This is a nice set of string lights. I have several sets of outdoor string lights and this set is particularly nice. One thing I like about the set is that the string of lights is long; I can string them around the entire deck. They were very easy to install. The lights are bright at full strength, making them perfect for after dark projects when you run out of daylight. But they are also dimmable so that if you just want to sit on the deck and relax, you have a nice ambiance for that. I had them plugged into another strand of lights that was connected to a dimmer and it worked fine, though they were still pretty bright at 35%. I am going to look for a smart dimmer to attach them to so that I can turn on/off and dim with voice commands. I can't speak to durability, because we've only had them a few weeks, but we've had some heavy rain and high wind and they've survived fine. I expect they will last for awhile. ... show more
