For the price, this is a stellar little machine. I'm really impressed by how bright it is, and how clear the picture is even on a bare wall (no screen). It's easy to navigate right out of the box. Plugged it in, turned it on, away we go. Native Netflix is a great feature; I wish there were more apps directly on the OS. Maybe future updates will improve the number of apps. The projector is super light and easy to move around. I didn't feel it getting too hot while I used it (longest time so far 2.5 hours in one session). The fan is super quiet. The remote is responsive. Still messing with the settings to get it exactly right. The built-in speaker is clear and loud, and sounds better than bluetooth connected speakers. Overall, this is a great value projector and I'm really glad I bought it. Some caveats- I'm not using it to replace a tv or be my only screen, it's not a "home theater," and I'm not using it outside. It's the thing I'm using for parties, sports events, and casual movie nights with friends. I think it's perfect for that, but I don't think I would want this to be my only machine (gaming, zoom calls, binging shows, etc etc).

If your budget is around $300, I recommend this DLP projector over an LCD one. The colors and contrast are significantly better than the ~$270 LCD projector I tested before this. In a bedroom set up like a theater with blackout curtains, acoustic panels, a projection screen, and a dedicated soundbar with subwoofer, the experience is much nicer. There are trade-offs though. The user interface is simpler compared to the $270 LCD projector I tried, which came with built-in Google TV and allowed almost every major streaming service to be downloaded directly onto the device. The XGIMI OS on this model is more basic. For example, Peacock cannot be downloaded from the XGIMI store, so we use the built-in browser instead. It works fine, but it's a small inconvenience. On the flip side, this simpler OS makes navigation much faster, and I've noticed zero stuttering or buffering compared to Google TV. Most of the time I play movies from my MacBook along with an app called BetterDisplay. This app lets me increase brightness without washing out colors, enable HDR and switch to 12-bit color depth instead of the standard 10-bit, and turn on HiDPI mode for higher pixel density. The result is a noticeably clearer and sharper image. That is how I was able to get the projector to look like the image below on a 120-inch screen. For $300 this projector offers excellent clarity, strong brightness ( with BetterDisplay), and color performance that easily beats budget LCD models. The trade-offs in software are worth it for the picture quality.

I had hoped for big things considering it is designed by reputable XGIMI company… What it does well - runs quiet, smooth menu that’s honestly about it. Maybe you can use a PD battery pack but waqs not able to confirm as I returned it. What it does poorly: Is not very bright and only even usable on a white wall or ceiling didn’t do well on a projector 2 layer white/black backed screen. No way this is 450 lumens..no way It’s extremely unstable on its design very tipsy and cheap plastic build, and no easy way to carry it when its folded There is no audio adjustments like an equalizer very disappointing! The projector was supposed to be short throw-ish but it is not and if you try to project a screen larger than 100” it’s downright unusable because you loose the little brightness you had at a 50" screen. The app support is horrible you will need a firestick or other hdmi source which really negates the entire idea of it being a portable! I had hoped for so much more as this was meant to compliment my other 2 projectors dangbei dbox02 and Bladecine Cube 600 both far superior. This was meant to be more portable unit was going to get a 65w PD charger for it but didn’t even get that far as very disappointed and it fell way way short! I ended up getting a MagCubic HY450c for half the price and wow was a great true short throw projector not portable but ended up getting a power station for $100 and still came out ahead! Maybe the Mogo 4 laswer would be the portable option but I can’t justify the price of more over priced at $700 but if XGIMI wants me to test that or another portable option like the VIBE ONE it I would be happy to do so!

We loved this portable projector. The 1080p image quality is excellent, with sharp colors and enough brightness to use it in different environments. The compact and lightweight design makes it easy to take anywhere, and the built-in adjustable stand is very convenient for positioning the projector perfectly without any hassle. Also, the Netflix license is a great plus, allowing you to enjoy content directly without issues. Purchase last Christmas! And still loving it! The adjustable screen makes it very portable! This baby has 4k quality and worth every penny! It was very easy to setup and the updates improves each time. We use a fire stick, but the apps on it allows you eliminate requiring a streaming device!

Everything works well, except Airplay form iPhone. I did installed ...like 5 different screen mirroring Apps, and none of them works as good, as on Apple original devices. Some play low resolution movies only, some just show pictures, most of them don't do anything. HDMI cable input works perfect. Bult in Apps also works well. Very excellent auto screen focus, adjustments.
