update 10/22/2019: Today I went to print a simple document and had the joy of getting two error codes on the printer. 062–380 and 062–386. I have less than 500 impressions through the thing, in almost 2 years, and it's basically a brick. To get someone from support to even TALK to you, it's $25. That's BS. I did send an email requesting information on getting it serviced, but I'm probably not going to bother. If it throws these messages (research shows the first is a bad scanner assembly) after this light of use, I don't want to keep it. I'm about to order a Canon printer, since it offers a three year warranty. Something else to note. When printing black text, it's NOT black but a dark grey. If you output something that should be black, it should be BLACK. Let ME pick if I want to use a conservation setting for the quality. If you're thinking about getting one of these, pass. Unless you're going to beat the snot out of it in the first few months. Or have an extended service agreement to cover it. Simply not worth getting. ====================================================================================== Setup was fairly simple. Had to make some adjustments to the base configuration. Such as not printing a page on every reboot/startup. But that was easy to locate (google it and then make the setting change). Found that the PS drivers actually work best across all apps. Even Word, which you would think would like the PCL6 driver more. Go figure. Installed the drivers on both the systems that will be printing to it (from the web page of the printer, which makes it MUCH easier). So far print quality is as expected (great). Print speed is really good too. MUCH better than my old (10+ years old) laser printer. This one printer replaced an old color laser printer plus an HP inkjet MFP device. Bought for the single pass, duplex, scanning via the ADF as well as printing resolution. Will see how many prints I get out of the included (already loaded) toner. Would love it if this came with a 500 sheet tray stock. But my old laser printer didn't either (added that later). I might add the extra tray later. With this one I could also set one of them for legal page prints and the other letter... ... show more

There are things to like about this printer but it was too much trouble and I returned it. While setting it up to print was no problem I discovered scanning is a real issue. Check the forums on this printer before you buy, tons of issues and no resolution. I never once got it to scan. When it prints the quality is good but it was a constant arm wrestling to get it to work and I have a fairly simple set up so not the most complex situation by far. If you are a tech guru and love to spend time tweaking, then go ahead. Me, I need to print/scan and go so this did not work. Also, while it is a wireless printer you have to buy the wireless adapter separately. It does not come wireless ready. ... show more

This unit was very fairly priced, or so it seemed. The speed and duplex operations are great, I think office print quality is great, but everytime I change from a letter document to an envelope, checks, or any other medium I must get up, walk to printer, and tap "ok" on the screen. Another annoying issue is that sometimes someone sends you a document, or you use a profile from another printer, and this printer is told what "resources" the printer needs, and again you must physically interact with the screen on the printer, and there is no override, you have to delete the document from the queue, and reprint after correcting the resource issue in your word processor or whatever you are using. NFC works nicely and I have no problems with wired network stability as some claimed back when I bought it in August of 2019 (so I have had it for 1.25 yrs). I am still using it, but if they fixed these annoyances it would be a 5 star rating from me (aside from "sheerness", as I know not what a town in England has to do with this printer review. I am buying a new printer for my home office, and would buy another 6515DN for continuity if these constant trips to the printer didn't happen. Infact, whatever I end up choosing may retire the Xerox printer at my office. Sad. ... show more
