  • Incredible printer
Style: Printer
The HP OfficeJet 250 is a compact, reliable all-in-one that makes printing, scanning, and copying on the go effortless. Setup is quick, print quality is sharp, and the rechargeable battery makes it perfect for travel or remote work. A must-have for anyone who needs professional results anywhere.

  • Lightweight, wifi, direct connect, email, good quality, has battery
Style: Printer
This is an excellent printer and scanner. It has Wi-Fi, direct connect, and email sending - all the necessary connectivity for printing and scanning. The touchscreen makes it much easier to manage. I can scan multiple documents using the dedicated tray for that purpose and can print on both sides as well (it can scan documents of different sizes with the adjustment ruller). It is lightweight, and when you take it somewhere, you don't have to search for a power supply because it has a battery that lasts quite a while. This is exactly what I wanted; sometimes you forget documents, and having it in your car is a good backup to print the document you need. ... show more

  • Worthy Successor to the Legendary Si Series...
Style: Printer
Finally, a printer that has enough going for it to be a worthy successor to the legendary HP Si series printers! I bought this, based on the reviews, to specifically to be able to mobile print from a variety of devices and after 3 months of use, I can say it functions flawlessly! Pros: * Sturdily built - finally a consumer printer that you don't have to fear breaking the flimsy plastic housing if you touch it! The housing and all external parts are sturdy enough to stand up to normal transport bumps and thumps. * Works with a variety of devices - be sure to have BOTH Bluetooth and WiFi enabled on your computing device (laptop, cell phone, etc) and it will find the printer with no problem. I have used it extensively with my iPhone 6 airprint and PC laptop WiFi with no issues. * Battery life is great - I go two weeks on a full charge, printing a few sheets per day, and have plenty of battery left. * Color docs look good - I don't print photos on this machine, but the color charts, graphs, and text are clear and sharp. * Works in a wide variety of environments - I've used this printer in near freezing conditions and it just chugs along without a problem. * Copy feature works great - images are sharp and text is clear. Note that this machine will scan and fax, as well, but I haven't used these features yet. * The price is reasonable for the features and reliability you get. * Reasonably economical on the ink, contrary to most HP inkjets. Con - typically, the HP brand ink is very expensive. Print speed is rather sedate, not as fast as the fastest ink jets, but it's plenty fast enough for mobile use and its reliability and ease of use makes up the difference. Other reviewers have said this printer could easily be all you need for a home printer, as well as traveling, and I agree. If you only print occasionally, this machine will meet your needs. After years of being disappointed (disgusted, really) by flimsy, finicky inkjet printers that didn't seem to live much beyond their first set of ink cartridges, I'm sold on this machine. Hopefully HP will continue this trend (and reclaim their soiled legacy) by extending this effort to their other product lines. Note - if you only need to print is B&W, then check out the OfficeJet 200, which is about 20% cheaper at this writing. ... show more

  • NOT Recommended for Mac users
Style: Printer
Although this printer is compatible with Mac OS platforms, having used it for two years I hightly recommend STAYING AWAY from this model. CONS: Spotty connectivity with MAC OS that causes numerous print jobs to get stuck. The printer and computer both have to be on and out of their sleep mode in order for the job to sync. If the printer is in the process of powering on, or is asleep when you send the print job, most of the time it will not register and stay paused in the queue. This will then prevent any other jobs from completing and will necessitate restarting your MacBook and printer. The sleep mode kicks in far too quickly, even when plugged into AC power, and causes numerous complications for printing. On battery power, usage typically drains within a day and goes to sleep even faster. Ink usage is absurd, even on draft quality B/W printing. Expect maybe 250 pages on draft, half of that on regular, out of one B/W HP print cartridge. Color drains fairly quickly compared to other similar desktop printer moderls. Touch screen is cumbersome and far too small with icons. Expect to press wrong buttons unless you have pinpoint precision or delicate piano fingers. Both the touchscreen and printer cover get scratches and scuffs far too easily due to glossy cover. Sheen would have reduced this wear and tear significantly. Scan option likewise has issues connecting wirelessly to Macs. Recognition glitches happen often requiring either a reboot or a quick fix like scanning to USB drive. Quick scan also has no options for differentiating between Color or B/W. PROS: The only good thing this printer does is print beautiful photographs on gloss photo paper. Regular iPhone pictures come out sharp and color-perfect on a 4x6 or 5x7 format. FINAL VERDICT: No, this is not a 1-star printer, but I am rating it as such to warn potential buyers. I purchased this at a premium price expecting premium performance for a small desk footprint. My home office did not have a lot of space and I specifically wanted a compact printer that would not take up a large horizontal or vertical foothold. The price in particular is absurdly high compared to models that, while physically larger, will deliver far better results in terms of conserving your ink usage and stardard B/W and color printing. The only reason to consider purchasing this printer is if you wish to print beautiful glossy pictures from your iPhone or other camera pictures. But at the price point, you'll get far more value just sending them to an online printing service. EDIT: Fixed a couple small typos and spelling errors. Three years in now and still the same issues. I find myself using this printer only for color photos and for backup printing when my other laserjet workhorse is out of toner or in use by my family. ... show more
