Last update: the replacement ice maker died after 7 days. Do not recommend this ice maker at all. Update: the seller was great, had a replacement in 6 days. Unfortunately on day 3, the replacement is acting up. It is making ice but the LED screen appears to be going out. It is flashing a weird picture and LL. Come on XBeauty, get it together!! The ice maker did great. The ice is a little larger than sonic ice but easy to chew. The issue is that the compressor went out after only 5 days. The ice maker is louder than I expected but I was willing to deal with it because we didnt run it all the time. If it doesnt run, it doesnt matter how loud it runs or how soft the ice is. I purchased this ice maker and it has stopped working less than a year since purchasing. I had it for maybe a month and the machine is sooooooooooo LOUD! It makes horribly loud creaking noises and has now stopped making ice. I purchased the warranty but it now says that it isn't available nor will they return it. ... show more

When I received this item, I was excited and it worked perfectly, BUT then it started leaking some white liquid and I didn't think much of it. Now after 3 months, the ice machine won't make ice and it makes a loud noise and vibrates the whole counter when it tries. I believe the white substance is freon or something to keep it cold and it is completely empty now so it won't work. I am working hard to try to get a refund but since the "return window" is over, they are giving me the run around. Please do not buy this product! ... show more

I do like this ice maker. I had a different one, but it broke after almost 1year. Now I have to have one in my house. This one is a little bit smaller and makes a little less ice, but it's easier to clean. The first batch of ice was harder than nugget ice and I thought about returning it, but after that the ice got softer! Each time after the cleaning the ice is hard. Weird! I always use filtered water so not sure what that's all about. It is also noisy, but I don't care as long as it's working. ... show more

    • Stopped working after less than 6 months
I purchased this in April and it was working great until last week (September 30th) when it started making a horrible screeching sound. The water will freeze in the extruder area but will not actually extrude and then water leaks out the bottom of the machine. I have tried running a cleaning cycle but it also screeches. The machine has been maintained regularly per the manual instructions. This ice maker is great for a few months until it stops working. Not worth the money and I cannot find a way to reach out to the seller. I would say don't waste your money but this one hasn't been available for purchase for a while anyway. This ice machine worked great for 4 months. It's a little loud and takes up a lot of counter space because you can't put anything in front of the fans but the ice was good and it has a cleaning cycle. One day it just stopped making ice and was even louder than usual. We tried turning it off and on again, cleaning it and nothing worked. I've been trying to get ahold of the manufacturer but I can't find my manual and can't find the company online except to buy their products at other sites. I bought the extended warranty but because the ice machine comes with a one year warranty that doesn't kick in until after 1 year. So I have a giant paperweight taking up counter space until I either find the manual or another 7 months passes so I can use the extended warranty. ... show more

Do not buy. Brought this life maker back in April it was working fine, I’m a traveler so I only used it for a month and cleaned it and put it up. Made it back home in August and it just stopped working in September it started making a loud noise it seems like it wants to run but no ice ever comes out and I’m past the return date so a complete waste of money! ... show more

This thing is a dream! I hesitated to spend so much money on an ice maker, but the one in our fridge can’t keep up with the amount of ice we use daily. I wish I had bought this a long time ago! The ice is perfect - I am a cruncher, and if it sits in your water for just a bit, it gets soft and is perfect for crunching. My favorite feature, though, is the timer. I set the timer before I go to bed so that it will start making ice about an hour before I need to come downstairs to start work. When I come down, it’s ready to make the most perfect iced coffee ever! A++++++ Update - started leaking after two months, and customer service was super quick to respond, and they refunded my money same day.
