Wish it come with longer winch wires

It’s has a short lead, maybe 25-30 ft it seems. If whatever you mount it to is close to 3,000 lbs it will not budge without a snatch block. I have it on a small John Deere and have to use a snatch block while in gear and wheels spinning. I have only used it a few times but nothing has broke so that is good for now. As long as it holds up it’s worth it. You get so many features for a good price.

According to the manual the cables from the controller to the winch are 3', but mine are only 1' which will not allow me to mount the controller where I can run the battery cables on my Polaris Ranger. I worked with Amazon Product Support and they were not able to reach the manufacturer. Additionally, I have tried multiple times to contact the manufacturer on my own to get the correct cables, but I have gotten no response. I'm happy with the winch, but not the provided cables.

Not even halving the pull of van on a flat with a 3:1 pulley snatch could it move car into garage without choking and stopping . Can’t even lift a jet ski engine that i can lift out by muscles alone

You'll notice this is advertised as an ATV winch and if you keep that in mind this is a nice one. I had planned to use this on my small tractor for moving some logs in the woods but before I got it mounted I needed to put on a massive old Ford post hole digger and this thing worked great. You can get it going out of the box pretty quick by just attaching the red/black leads to a battery and making use of the wireless remotes. Instructions seemed to indicate you'd need the wired remote attached and another lead connected but that turns out to not be the case. I selected some bolts that were long enough for the board I was using as a mount, attached it, and tossed it up on some rafters. After having to read the instructions again to figure out I'd forgotten to hold both remote buttons to turn it on everything just worked. I flipped the dial to pull out the rope I needed and hooked it around the top of the post hole digger then flipped it back and hit the IN button. It lifted this thing up no problem and I'm serious it's a big chunk of metal. It gives me confidence that it would be perfect for ATV use. Nothing about it feels cheaply made and while the rope is of course less sturdy than a wire rope it serves it's purpose.

We have a lot of extra batteries so this was easy to test before installing. I ordered this for our utv. My husband said the install wasn’t bad. I’ve had this a couple months now & haven’t needed to use it. It’s still spring & we have lots of thick, slick mud. We have heavy clay deposits in our soil. I’d far rather have it & not need it than need it & not have it.
