I’m happy with the doorbell camera for my purpose. However, I doubt it would deter a determined would be thief wearing a mask. Likes: motion detection and notifications are prompt, Quality of night vision is good, even with lights off, Good vertical field of view, Easy install, Good price. Dislikes: not a complete 180 view - standing right up against the door and it does not see you (this is without wedge mount), Mount to wall seems like it would be very easy for someone to pull off if they wanted. Can’t rate this product cause I’m not able to use it, the bell that came with the house don’t work so I need new wiring in order to connect it..,smh idky they don’t make these bells wire optional to be wired or wireless… smh

Easy setup and operation but sometimes does not connect, sometimes does not detect/record the obvious, other times works great. Contacted support, they said 'reboot' it, worked but still does same thing sometimes. I would not rely on this as your Sole security cam, use others (different brands) as backup. Not much in the way of software updates. The company seems focused on getting you to sign up for their monthly cloud service vs. making a great stand along product. ... show more

There is a delay from the bell to our phones, about 2 full seconds so not too bad, and it could be due to our wifi. It gets a good picture and doesn't alert over tiny critters.

This doorbell only rings outside the house. The phone app does not provide a ring tone so the only way you know someone is at your door is to spend more money on a chime or discern that one of your many notifications is actually someone at your door. I cant imagine that it would be hard to have the notification sound be a doorbell sound instead of the same sound as the dozens of other notifications you get daily. Apparently this has been an issue for a while. No help from company when questioned. ... show more

    • Disables your existing doorbell... you need the chime.

Guess I didn't read the description closely enough. Maybe you already know this. I did not. In order for the Wyze doorbell to work you must rewire your existing doorbell chime to bypass it so it will no longer function. Therefore you need the Wyze chime along with the doorbell camera. Disabling our existing doorbell chime was a non-starter for my wife so had to return this. ... show more
