  • Works perfectly for me
I don't know what the negative reviews are about. I got it, charged it, started using it, and worked perfectly fine. Battery lasts a good length of time, and fits my drill just fine. Good battery, good price.

  • It works! It replaced a 24v (which I guess has been discontinued)
I bought this battery to replace a 24v for a black and decker hedge trimmer. This one has three prongs and the 24v only had two. I was afraid it wouldn't work, but it did. the charger charged it up, no problems. When putting it onto the trimmer, there are 2 little plastic nubs that line up with indents on trimmer. This battery has only one nub and it does not line up with the indents. I sanded the nub down a bit and it went onto the trimmer okay. the latch still worked. and thankfully the trimmer worked just fine. To me it had as much power as the 24v; but then the 24v was very old. I am happy with my purchase. I don't understand why they quit making the original 24v though. ... show more

  • Decent buy
My husband bought this for a hand-me-down electric weed whacker. I was going to buy an entirely new one but he convinced me to try a new battery instead. Glad he did. Works perfectly however, I wish we bought 2. After being fully charged, it works like a dream. But after 20mins of continuous use, the battery is dying and needs to be recharged. To be fair, I have nothing to compare battery life longevity to because the original battery we had only worked for a few minutes. And we haven't edged our lawn during the 2 years we have been at our house. Not sure how long it takes to fully charge back up. And again, nothing to really compare to, but long enough for me to call it quite for the day and to try and again tomorrow. Still cheaper than buying a brand new weed whacker and may purchase another to rotate them out to get more work done. No regrets! ... show more

  • Objective, side by side review
Size: 3 Pack
I bought a Ryobi Brushless 40V leaf blower, which only comes with one battery and one charger. I'll save my generally positive review of the Ryobi blower itself for elsewhere. I needed more batteries and chargers, as I'm taking care of two houses and wanted to be able to charge at either location, and have plenty of backups for swapping and charge bases on both homes. I was torn weather to purchase the OEM Ryobi single battery plus charger, or the OhYes dual battery plus charger. As of this writing, the OhYes *two* battery plus single charger pack costs $96.98, while the Ryobi *single* battery plus charger costs $109.99. On a price basis, the OhYes is the clear winner. In the back of my head, however, I could hear my wife's voice saying, "Cheap pays twice", a pre-caution that buying the much cheaper (or less expensive) product often gets one a product so inferior that one ends up having to pay to the more expensive option anyway. In the end, wanting at least 3 spares and extra chargers, I purchased BOTH. Upon receipt, I charged all of the batteries to capacity. My first observation is that the OhYes charging base is superior to the Ryobi. The base is larger with a clear visual guide and has lights, which always indicate the battery charge state and level and is easy to read. The Ryobi base has no lights, and sits under the battery. All of the batteries have lights on the batteries themselves indicating charge state, and in appearance and build quality the Ryobi and OhYes appear to be completely identical. The battery lights on both the OEM and aftermarket go off when fully charged. But the lights on the OhYes base, which is clearly a better design, remain on indicating battery state always. This is nice at a glance (don't let the picture mislead you, that is the Ryobi battery on the OhYes base). After fully charging I blew gumballs off the lawn. My result was that these batteries when used in the Ryobi Brushless 40V 800 CFM WHISPER SERIES blower have the exact same runtime capacity. In my normal use, this turned out to be 12 minutes and 30 seconds, +/- 3 seconds for both. I now have three spares for rotation. I can't speak to number of charging cycles or life at this point, but from my current vantage at this time, the OhYes package is both superior and a better deal. So if you are reading this review asking yourself whether to go for it, my answer is a resounding yes. :) ... show more

  • No where near oem battery power
Size: 3 Pack
I picked up a non-OEM replacement battery for my Ryobi tools thinking I’d save a little money, but it definitely wasn’t worth it. The battery is about half the size and weight of a genuine Ryobi battery like the RYOBI 40v 6.0 Ah High Performance Battery, which at first seemed like a bonus—but that’s where the positives end. When it comes to actual performance, it just doesn’t deliver. I tried using it with my Ryobi tiller, and it simply doesn’t have the power to run it properly. The tool bogs down almost immediately, and the battery drains fast. It’s clear that even though it says it’s compatible, it can’t handle higher-demand tools. Compared to OEM batteries, the difference is night and day. The genuine Ryobi batteries are heavier for a reason—they have more capacity and can actually sustain power under load. This aftermarket one feels more like it’s suited for very light-duty tasks at best. If you’re planning to use it for anything with real power requirements, like a tiller, I’d skip it and spend the extra on the real deal. This one might be cheaper upfront, but it just doesn’t perform where it counts. ... show more

  • Works well
Size: 3 Pack
I have a Ryobi pole saw. It came with one charger and one battery. I need to cut down a bunch of branches and small trees, so I got this 2-pack of batteries and a charger. Used one of the batteries today - ran for about 45 minutes before I quit, and still had 2 bars left. Charged up in about 90 minutes. I'm happy so far. ... show more

They’re much stronger than the batteries that came with my trimmer and my blower.
