    • Another great Wyze product
Over the past few years I’ve slowly smart-ified my house almost exclusively with Wyze products. They are high quality products at shockingly affordable prices. In fact, it was there low prices that made me initially skeptical. I thought how can they sell these types of products at such low prices? I started with the Wyze Bulbs and it was so easy to setup. It takes some adjustment to get used to using these products on a day-to-day basis just got a habit, but when you do it becomes very useful. It’s one of those things when you ask yourself “how did I ever live without this convenience?” From there, I added an indoor camera, then outdoor cameras, an LED strip for behind my big screen TV, the Wyze Scale v2, and most recently, the Wyze Lock reviewed here. I said this up only on the side door of my garage. Like all Wyze products, it was easy to set up and the products high-quality and durable. I now never have to worry about my kids for getting their house keys and getting locked out because I know they can either call me and I will unlock it from the Wise app on my phone or they can use the code on the keypad that you can buy to synch with the lock. It works great! One area of feedback: Wyze should offer a variety of finishes so customers can better match their existing hardware. I realize they can’t offer every finish under the sun, but if they could offer 3 to 7 different finishes of the same product I would bet that sales would increase. I installed mine on a garage door, but would not install it on my front door just because it doesn’t match my hardware (my wife would lose it!). Wyze- Please also add indoor flood light bulbs for recessed “canned” lighting to your product lineup. Lastly, please add an smart garage door opener device. I’ve seen other companies offer this (MyQ), but would rather keep it consistent with a Wyze product. ... show more

    • Works great for my needs
I needed this on my office door. Easy to install, bluetooth and Wifi works with this great. You can set this up to lock right away when the door is shut. On my I phone it shows it locked or unlocked which is a nice feature on this model. I also ordered the key pad too which also works great. Thank you for a great product, Mike ... show more

    • unobtrusive from the outside
We wanted a smart lock that did not look that way from the outside, to deter hackers. This can be unlocked and locked from your phone with the app. Also I programmed it so that my housekeeper can unlock it only on the day and time that she comes. The keypad does need to be near the lock in order for it to work, however. I hid the keypad away from the door and to use it, you can easily detach it from the wall plate and walk over to the lock and unlock it. Also, since it retrofits onto your existing deadbolt, you can still use your key. Much better system for our purposes. ... show more

So I got this purely bc my old smart lock didn’t fit my new apartment door and I need a smart lock for my cat sitter to get in. Let me tell you this one is SO nice! It auto locks behind you which is amazing, the app is easy to deal with (sometimes you have to wait for it to catch up to what’s actually happened), the keypad is nice. I legit have nothing to complain about! (Unlike my old smart lock—i was always complaining about it lol).     • Must have outlet by door and strong and fast internet
Works great every now and then has slow reaction or will not unlock with code on first try but I think it’s internet connection issues instead of product issue make sure ur WiFi signal is very steady and doesn’t slow down during busy times or u may be punching in code two times to make it work but other than that I love it I never have to guess if I locked door it does it on auto it lets me know exactly who is coming in and out as well as which of the teenagers is leaving my door open all the time because each person in house can have own codes to get in so I can see who unlocked it and then it sends signal to my phone n tells me if they shut it right away or how long they had door opened great way to see when kids are being honest about coming in on curfew or to let unexpected visitors or family in house if I’m gone and want to let them in until I get back....just check internet speeds ur actually getting not what internet company says ur getting cause speed I pay for is different than speeds throughout day they fluctuate during day and it can effect accuracy of this product unlocking first time and ur ability to connect thru app but it still stays locked even in outage u just have to manually unlock it in case of internet outage. But we had no special anything just basic door basic lock and this was easy to install and glad it didn’t require additional purchased item for this to work but u do need and outlet somewhere close to door ur installing this on we didn’t have outlet but was able to plug sensor into extension cord and set by front door and it works fine ... show more

    • Great smart lock (particularly renters)
I love this lock for its simplicity. Being that I rent, I can't just replace my locks (against contact). This lock simply replaces the interior knob on a dead bolt, everything else stays the same. If you leave, just put the knob back on and take the lock with you. Pros I love the ease of install, the ability to set guest codes, the notifications of when the door is opened/ closed, and ability to lock/unlock remotely. Cons If your door has any play in it, it may jam the bolt and not lock. Now, you get a notification to this but can be annoying if you don't catch it before you leave. "Trash mode" to temporarily turn off the auto lock function is clumsy to activate. I really really really wish there were a couple programmable buttons on the top. One for trash mode, and one to turn on/off the auto lock feature all together. This would require a hardware v2 though... As an alternative and in combination to a hardware change, it would be nice if you could program the auto lock functionality to work only during certain times of the day. Maybe in conjunction with the auto unlock feature so that if you leave the house during the day when it's off it realized this and locks the door for you. ... show more
