I have purchased a slew of products from Worx. Education programs I started to use products from this company about 20 years ago and was always happy. This is my first disappointment. 1. Because I owned so many products from this company, I only ordered the tool at the cost to $55. Only one of my previously purchased Worx product that is a 20 V trimmer/edger was compatible with the present purchase. 2. You cannot adjust the head of this grass shears, while other products allow you to do this. SCHTUMPA 24V 1260-RPM Cordless Grass Shears Open, that comes with 24V batteries, a charger, at the cost of $20 more. 3. The only feature of the Worx product that favorably compared is the fact that it came with a scabbard to cover both of the cutting heads provided. Therefore, the lower voltage, the fact that no batteries or charger came with the unit in contrast to another product coming with both charger and two batteries, leaves me feeling that a company that I have like so much in the past has disappointed me. I should add that support from Worx. Also it’s disappointing that an expensive heavy duty edger i bought from Worx is no longer supported and after losing the wheels on this 60 V edger I can’t find a replacement. In addition, I have 6 x 32 V batteries from Worx that are absolutely of no value to me given that I cannot use them with this product that I am reviewing. The same problem occurred with the 20 V Weedwhacker and lawn edger that I purchased approximately one year ago from.Worx. When you come out with a new device, allow these expensive batteries to be used with any product. The bottom line is “I am disappointed.”

I'm the nominal "head gardener" of several gardens in our condo development (yes! Our condo association lets us garden! Free landscaping and labor; what's not to like?). This battery-operated mini trimmer/grass shear has so far been a boon to me. Our groundskeepers have been asked to not weed-whack right up to the edge of our gardens; they end up whacking the perennials growing on the margins. I have committed to cleaning up those margins myself. Instead of several days on my kneeler with a hand clipper, I spend an hour or so with this mini-trimmer/shear and job done! As a 71 year-old with increasingly creaking parts and increasing intolerance to sun, heat and humidity, the time this thing saves me is much appreciated. I live in Vermont where our summers are becoming hotter, more humid and with longer periods of drought. Higher temperatures are hitting earlier in the season (we're forecast to see low- to mid-eighties in the first week of June), so anything that will quickly get me out of the heat and humidity is a winner! I am on my garden magazine's email list for helpful hints and videos. I found out about this tool in a video from them. A gardener was talking about her five favorite, indispensable garden tools; the trimmer/shear was one of them. I like it so much that I am planning to buy their small leaf blower and a spare battery. The Power Share feature is a great idea; the battery is interchangeable between trimmer and blower. Only one tool at a time is used; with the spare battery fully charged, I'll be ready to go when it's time to switch over from trimming to blowing... Should further use reveal more positive (or negative) characteristics of this device, I'll revisit this review and update you all. As Rachel Maddow would say, watch this space...

Purchased with some concern about the lock button. Read many reviews but unsure if lock button needed pressed continually during use due to my arthritis. Glad to report that once trigger is unlocked no need to continue to hold. Have used to trim tall Japanese stiltgrass (3ft) off a pond bank* and decorative and thick stemmed Maiden grass. (4ft) *didn't want to use a string trimmer next to the pond. Throws too much grass into the water.

Just received the new Work Trimmer. I purchased this because it weighs only 1.5 lbs and is portable. Now, I just had 3 bypass surgery and cannot lift over 5 lbs so my hedge trimmer was out of the question. Will this lightweight trimmer/hedger "cut"? You bet it will. I will be using this most of the time in place of the large trimmer. I highly recommend this tool to anyone who has bushes, vines, flowers to trim. Get it now.
