Works exactly what I bought it for and I got in for 30 cheaper then on sale price at Lowes. Not that I don't like Lowes, I shop there all the time. But it was on sale for 129 from 149. Amazon normal price wins. Okay, I obviously unwrapped it as soon as I got it and completed the simple assembly. I then charged to for at least 24 hours. Then I put it to work on my shrubs that needed trimming. I was done in about 15 minutes. My branches were anywhere for 1/4" up to about 3/4". It cut thru everything like butter. I then place on its handy hook and used it again a couple days later. I have a clearing behind my house where new bush sprouts are popping up all over the place all the time. They're only maybe 8-10" tall and 1/4" diameter. The area is probably 150" wide x 80" depth. I usually use roundup to keep that area cleaned and let the pine needles do the decorating. I like it raw but without new growth. Anyway, I used this very lightweight trimmer for maybe another 30 minutes and did not notice any battery loss. This time I got a lot of sap on the blades with tarnished the stainless steel. I just washed it off and put it back in storage for next time. I have a Sthel gas edger, trimmer, and blower. The trimer finally would not start after 16 years of use so I bought this one. I getting older and did not want another big, heavy, gas yard tool. I recommend this product if you have medium to light hedges trimming needs. ... show more

Blade is extremely sharp, minimal assembly required out of box to install handle and guard. Goes right to work and is easy to wield. I ran it for about an hour and only lost 1 cell on my battery. The saw blade feature is nice for some of the thicker pieces, takes some patience but it gets through without much hassle at all. Bought it used with 2amp battery & small charger for $106. Seemed almost new. One 1&1/4" handle screw was bent. Had weird drive. Replaced both handle screws with SS #8 x 1&1/4" phillips drive. Replaced guard screws with #6 x 3/4" SS phillips drive. 2 amp battery life seemed short. Have 2 -4 amp and 2 -2 amp batteries extra for other V20 equipment. ... show more

I read one reviewer that said it couldn't cut grass, I got it to cut grass without a single problem, it was easy and sharply cut. I was able to trim all my hedges (about 20) that haven't been trimmed for a few years, and the battery lasted throughout the operation. One con I would say is the 1.5" branch cutter, it doesn't cut as well as you'd think, so maybe just get the chainsaw for that. Would I buy again? YES. No regrets. Be sure to keep the blade oiled and out of the elements. ... show more
