I have a EGO trimmer and a EGO chainsaw which I love so I figured I would give the hedge trimmer a shot. Purchased it a couple weeks ago...tool only as I have 2 batteries already...and just used it for the first time. I was not disappointed. So much easier than using my electric hedge trimmer. Best of all, NO extension cord to mess with. The 24 inch blade made quick work of my trimming. The one inch gap was great, it cut branches my electric could not. I did not time actual run time...best guess, close to an hour...but no concerns about how long the battery lasted. Was still going strong when I finished. It is a little weighty with the battery but I knew that was going to be the case when I purchased it. Not having to mess with an extension cord, the power, the blade length, the one inch gap, the battery life more than compensate for the extra weight.

I bought my EGO hedge trimmer because I needed one and because I have several other EGO products. This trimmer is awesome! I've used it a few times and it vastly exceeded my expectations. Out of the box it was ready to go; I only needed to charge the battery and oil the blade. It cuts through the toughest material like butter. It will cut a one inch branch easily. It makes short work of even the toughest jobs. With a cordless trimmer there's no cord to lug around or cut. I love that you have to use both hands to use the trimmer, so it's very safe to use. The battery lasted longer on a charge than the hour advertised. It's sturdy, safe and sharp. EGO products are a little expensive but worth every penny.

I bought this when it was at a 30% discount but I would of bought this at full price after using it. I bought this a week ago and I have to say, this is the tool of the year in my family. It cut plants and shrubs with ease but be warned, your shoulder are going to get a workout! I did not get a battery since I had a bigger battery from my ego lawn mower already, that may be a mistake since it makes the machine heavier and harder on the shoulders. If you can, get the smallest battery possible or maybe get the EGO backpack battery. In my case, my shoulders always gave out before the machine ever did. Luckily this took a manual shrub pruning job from a two hour event down to a 20 minute event. Its quick, strong, and not the loud. Overall, I love this machine. If you decide to get it, the best trick is to make smaller passes just shaving the bush down little by little. For bigger pieces, about 1" or bigger, use a saw or loopers as this machine will rip and tear bigger branches. Not a fault of the machine, you just need to use the right tool for the job. For the quality of job and ease of use, this machine has great value and should be an essential tool in your landscaping tool box.

Battery life is excellent. Cutting is as advertised. I used on a large old-growth lilac hedge after cutting out bigger limbs with a chainsaw. The weight is well distributed for control and lower fatigue. It cut cleanly and only had minor slowdowns with green growth nearing the upper cutting size limit. After cutting two 6x10 stacked trailer loads of branches, very little wear to the sharpness of the teeth. While not yet needing to do so, sharpening will be a straightforward activity. I re-oiled the bar and teeth as instructions rightly insist. While I did the cutting in two sessions and charged the battery between, it would have completed the two trailer loads using no more than half a charge.

This EGO POWER+ Hedge Trimmer is a game-changer for sure! 🌿💪 It's cordless, which is awesome because you don't have to deal with pesky cords getting tangled up while you're trimming. The 24-inch blade is just the right size for most hedge trimming jobs, making it super convenient. Plus, it comes with a 56V 2.5Ah battery and charger, so you're all set to go right out of the box. One thing to keep in mind is that the battery life may not be super long for really big jobs, so if you have a lot of hedges to trim, you might need to take a break to recharge. But for regular maintenance, it's perfect! Overall, I'd say this trimmer is a solid choice for anyone looking to make their yard work a whole lot easier. ✂️🌳

Best deal ever! I love my ego battery powered blower so I thought I’d stick with this company. This does not disappoint! I had a horrible ugly hedge as seen in this picture and it demolished it. I just finished and I’m too lazy to go take the new picture but I might. But here is the before I have these 4 foot tree bushes all over my property in the northern California area and I hate them. This works like a charm! Just don’t do it on the hot day like I did! It wasn’t intimidating at all for me and I’m 5 foot five female. You will love this!

I bought this hedge trimmer because my old one that was corded wasn't cutting cleanly anymore. I'd had it several years so it was time to upgrade. It was love at first use with this trimmer. For starters, I love the length of the blades. They are long enough to reach across the entire width of my boxwoods. I can start at one end of the shrubs, walk slowly to the other end and I have a nice, even border. It also cuts nicely from the bottom up to shave unruly leaves off for a manicured look. It was so easy to use that I used it next on a mature and overgrown burning bush. Burning bushes have some thick branches when they're well established and it cut them, well, not quite like butter, but it handled them really well. I was having so much fun and it was so easy to use this battery operated hedger that I trimmed all the shrubs on my property. It was fast, effortless, clean cuts, easy to maneuver, the right size for the job . I couldn't be happier.
