For starters, I got to know the Worx brand, thanks to Costco. At one point, a Black and Decker cordless drill had malfunctioned, so I bought one that they sell on sale at Costco. It seemed to me to be of quite good construction and I loved that the battery lasted much longer than that of the other drill. That was around 2017. And yes, I still have the batteries and they work perfectly. Due to the pandemic, I have to stay home longer, and I decide to take care of the garden myself. I don't live in the USA, but in Costa Rica, a country with a tropical climate, so the garden tools I had to buy were for weekly use (here everything grows very quickly in the rainy season, which is 6-7 months a year) , and that the purchase would not leave my wallet at zero, since all this had to be brought via courier from the USA, so the final price for me is much higher than the purchase on Amazon, since I have to include freight and formalities. This led me to Worx. I remembered the different tools that I bought after that brand, and that they all operate with the same batteries, and when I noticed that they had a 20V and 40V system, but using the same batteries that I already have, it seemed to me that it was a good alternative. About this trimmer. Power. That's the key word. It really is a mower with plenty of power to do multiple jobs in the garden. In my case, I use it to cut weeds that grow on the outside of the property, which is quite thick. I also used it successfully to keep short a series of cane shoots that come out on my property every time the rainy season starts. I also used it in the lawn area, where I have two different types of grass, and one tends to grow faster, so instead of mowing, I just trimmed the overhanging grass and that has allowed me to have the grass at a similar height and allow it to repopulate, since I don't usually irrigate it with water in the summer, so it fills up in patches, which fill up as the rainy season progresses. What would you change? First of all, bring a shoulder support, since the equipment is quite light for power, but it is still tiresome to use it for 1 hour using only your hands. The second, the 4A batteries should be replaced by 5A ones, since they wear out quite quickly. The last thing, the operation button, should have a way to set a stop, at least in my case it would be very useful, since I use this equipment near plants that are delicate, so I can not use the power stop or it could cut things that I don't want to cut, and I have to put one of my fingers under the button to avoid increasing the power while using it. Likewise, the ECO button works, but it is annoying that it automatically disconnects after a few minutes that one does not use the equipment. A curious fact is that the line it comes with is a 0.0905", which is supposed to be for medium to heavy use and very efficient. And I can say that it is, but to try, I used two lines that I already had on my property. First, it's a 0.101" round line, which is thicker. I can say that this did not work as I expected, since it does cut, but the cut is not fluid at all and it feels like it works harder to cut. The only positive thing is the line itself is more resistant to breaking. But not by much. The other is a 0.080" square cut one. This one, despite what I thought, since I used it on another piece of equipment and it didn't give me very good results, it turned out to be even better than the original they recommend. It not only allows cuts at low or high speed, but it feels like it cuts much better, with cleaner cuts. I tried it with the cane shoots, and all those that I couldn't cut with the other 2 lines (they broke them, but they didn't cut them), with this other one, I cut them without problem.This is important to take into account, since the line not only determines the type of cut, but also helps to improve the performance of the battery, since it can be cut using less speed, which extends the duration. Would you recommend it? Without a doubt, to the point that I plan to buy other accessories that this base supports. ... show more

I like the power , it does not keep the grass off of you so be prepared to get dirty. I have a hard time pressing the tiny silver button to swap out the weedeater head to the edger. But I love it otherwise. I hope to get another set of batteries since i have lots of acreage.

I can use all of the batteries from other Worx units, including my drill. This unit and the other attachments I bought are industrial grade units. I used a circular chain saw blade to cut 3 inch bamboo chutes down. The larger batteries would give about 45 min. of hard use during that one project. Nothing else worked for the larger bamboo. IS ABOUT 6FT LONG AND WIEGHS AT LEAST TWICE AS MUCH AS MY OTHER 40V WORKS TRIMMER. BATTERY LIFE EVEN ON THE ECO SETTING SEEMS LIKE IT DOESNT LAST AS LONG AS MY OTHER 40V WORKS TRIMMER. THAT COULD BE USSER ERROR AS IM STILL TRYING TO GET USED TO IT.

First unit I received had a defective motor. Contacted WORX customer service. She was fantastic! New unit arrived in 2 days. Second issue really does not have any reflection on the weed trimmer. Could not locate replacement string. Again called WORX customer service. This lady was just as courteous, professional and helpful as the first customer service representative.
