I have been using this tiller for almost a month now. I have 5 gardens in my yard. 2 are new I started with my new tiller. It did great. Tearing through the grass roots, it sped around some. I figured out to hold the tires more forward, than I had no issues. Love this tiller!!

For someone like me tending some small garden plot and managing a very small lawn and border area, this is working out okay. They have a decibel notice on the unit so I checked it myself. In my shop the ambient noise level was 32dB. With the electric motor running the tiller unencumbered in the same space it hit 93.4dB. This is probably an appropriate level to wear some hearing protection. My search suggests time spent at 85dB or higher you should be wearing something. I'm running a heavier than normal cord for this and so far it hasn't popped my 15 amp breaker which is what I have in the shop and around the perimeter of the house for outdoor outlets. Time will tell if that becomes an issue if I get hung up on something like a rock. It's easy to move around, easy to pick up and carry and running it out to my shed is not a big deal. The gas powered units I've used in the past are a far cry from easily managed. I like it for light duty stuff.

It's important to know your use-case before deciding to purchase this tiller. If you have a small or medium garden that has quality, rock-free soil, and that consists of good soil, not dense, sticky clay, then you might find yourself happy with this lightweight, easy-to-use, always-ready-to-work tiller. For that type of person, you will be pleased to be able to easily turn and mix your soil, between growing seasons. This is not for initial tilling in challenging soil, or for extremely large areas. You need to use a very good extension cord with this, because you will have some loss in voltage from the line resistance, and these needs a healthy voltage and current supply. Use a 20 amp rated cord, and outlet, to be safe, especially if it is a very long cord. Overall, this device performs well and is easy to use, and it is amazing how much lighter it is compared to the large gas powered tillers.

I’ve used this a few times now and I have mixed feelings about it. It’s not the best quality because there’s so much plastic parts to it, but it does do OK as long as the ground isn’t too hard or there’s not a bunch of rocks or thick roots that you have to get through. For moderate work I think it’s fine but if you need to do some extensive tilling, it does tend to overheat after just a few minutes. This has been great for turning over my garden beds, but I wouldn’t use it to prep the ground initially because the ground on my property has a bunch of rocks in it. I do like that it breaks down pretty easy and is easy to put together and it’s not super heavy so it’s easy to handle. I guess the price is also decent but like I said, you just have to be mindful of the work that you need to do.
