The shredder is fully operational. It is compact, not taking up much space in my office. The bin holds a fair amount of shredded waste -for me. Only thing I don't like is the top motor element is heavy and awkward to lift off the shred collection hopper.

It is very noisy when shredding papers, and the shedding part is heavy. However, it shreds 5 or more pieces of paper into small, thin paper strips in seconds.

The shredder works but it is difficult to empty. The lid weighs almost 15 lbs and it is challenging to empty the bucket without making a mess. When you grab the handle to lift the lid the paper on the blade falls to the ground. The lid is heavy, so it is hard to flip the lid upward. The blade is positioned in the front, so the bag looks full when it is not. You have to shake the bucket often to get the paper stacked in the front to fall into the empty space in the bag or it will overheat.

I’m very pleased with this shredder as it has a slot to shred CDs and old credit cards to help prevent identity theft. It not overly loud when it shreds paper. I would’ve rated this paper shredder five stars if not for the fact it doesn’t have a locking mechanism so the shredder part doesn’t easily come loose from the basket to prevent someone from being seriously hurt.
