This paper shredder works well and does a good job of shredding a few pages at a time. I find that it works fast and efficiently when I feed not more than 3 or 4 pages at a time. It can shred more pages at a time but it will slow down and heat up faster. It does a great job shredding plastic cards, such as credit cards, so I can dispose of these expired cards in a secure way. Staples are not a problem either. Other shredders I’ve used jam easily but this one does a good job of shredding the pages, even if these are not feed in straight, without jamming. It has a safety feature that turns the shredder off when it gets too warm, and I’ve found that I can feed a couple of dozen pages continuously before it starts getting warm. Nice shredder that is a good value for the money.

I've been really impressed with this shredder. It's more powerful than I expected and has had no problem handling stacks of paper. I've fed around eight sheets through it at once, and it shredded them without any issues. On the rare occasion that it starts to hang up, the reverse function works well and makes it easy to clear the jam and keep going without much hassle. The waste bin is also a nice size. It holds a good amount of shredded paper before needing to be emptied, and everything falls neatly into the container without making a mess. I also tested it with old credit cards, and it shredded them easily without any trouble, which is a nice bonus. Overall, this is a reliable, easy-to-use shredder that handles both paper and credit cards well. It's powerful, simple to clear if a jam occurs, and has plenty of capacity for everyday home or office use. I'd definitely recommend it.

Works great. I’m very happy. Price was right and it’s doesn’t overheat or jam. There’s a warning light if you’re getting close to overheating but I had to shred hundreds of pages and it never overheated.

My 12-sheet shredder just died one day. It was a heavy machine that sat atop a plastic basket and needed a good fit for the “actuating pin” to sit on this plastic receptacle bin. Over time, the weight of that shredder had cracked the bin and made everything unusable. No replacement for the bin available and superglue and duck tape just wasn’t working. I considered a new shredder that had a pull out bin, but after analyzing how much use (including number of sheets to feed into the machine at one time), cost, and overall weight of the machine, I realized a lightweight shredder might meet my needs. Good decision on my part. Excellent aspects: It is very lightweight machine that has an excellent and comfortable folding handle to lift it off the included basket. I have serious arthritis in both wrists and most fingers, and I can lift this off without any issues at all. It also easily seats right back into the correct position without any problems when put back onto the receptacle bin. It is pretty quiet when running. It has a window that clearly tells you when the bin is getting full, ensuring that you do not overfill and jam the machine. When full, the bin is easy to lift and dump its shredded pieces into a larger trash bag. The pieces may get a little statically attached to the plastic bin, so try covering the opening of the bin with a trash bag before you invert the bin and then tap the aides of the bin to get all the shredded pieces into the trash bag. I still had to round up some “shred debris” that clung to the inside of basket or missed the bag…not big deal. Price was awesome! Average/neutral aspects: My previous shredder had a lock out mechanism that let me ensure the shredder could not be accidentally turned on if the main selector switch was unintentionally moved to the “on” position. This machine does not have such a feature. It has 4 positions: FWD (on with continuous shredder wheels engaged regardless of whether something is sensed in the shredder slot), AUTO (power on, but shredder wheels not engaged unless something is sensed in the shredder slot), REV (shredder wheels in constant motion, but pushing things back out of the feeder slot), and OFF (which powers down the machine, red power light goes off). As there is no “guard switch” to prevent accidental activation, I simply unplugged it when I am not using it for a time and if any small children/pets are around. It also has an overheat light if the motor os getting too hot from continuous or heavy load use. It is not top heavy, but still can be tipped over if you move or bump against it. I have it freestanding on the floor between a similar sized trash can and the side of my desk. I have had no problems with it tipping or moving during use. There is a credit card slot, and while the machine will “chew” these up, you can hear the machine slow and even see the credit card wobble as it is being shredded. Worked OK as I only shred a card or two annually. I would not place more than 3-4 sheets of regular paper in at one time as you can hear the machine slowing to shred that amount. I am sure it can do more, but I decided to simply be cautious. The machine does shred as quickly as most residential use machines, however. Note: The actual continuous run time on this machine is much better than advertised. I ran it for 10 minutes without any problems, although I was only inserting 1-2 sheets at a time, not the max they say you can at a time. No overheat light came one, albeit the top of the machine did become a little warm. Overall, very happy with this machine. It will only get used every couple of weeks and then for only about 15-20 sheets of paper or other junk ail (credit card mailings, credit card receipts, etc…

I got this paper shredder for home use. I had so many papers piling up and this was a life saver. It will shred 6 sheets at one time and it also has a spot to shred credit cards. It holds up you’re a few shreds before you have to empty it. I like that there is a fill line so you know when to stop. There is also a light that will come on before it can overheat that tells you to take a 20 minute break. It small enough to be mobile and can fit under a desk or tucked away in a closet. It did t make a mess at all and was easy to dump when I was done. It’s a get value for the money and I am very happy with this purchase.

This is a great little shredder. I would not dare to overload it. But it gets the job done, perfectly! Lots of power in its compact body. Haven't had any issues with jamming, but I do not put in more than two sheets at a time.

First, all you companies need to stop with the stickers on everything . I'm going to start sending back products with super sticky stickers on it . It's ridiculous. I've tried 1 piece of paper and it was very loud, it started slow then sped up . I then tried 2 pieces of paper and again loud but a steady pace on the shredding . I don't need anything spectacular and I only need this for mail really so time will tell if it lasts . The size is small and that's fine with me as this is just for personal use and mostly mail . If it lasts awhile it's worth the cost but right now the noise level will be the tipping point of keep or return .
