I purchased this label printer to use for identifying wires and electrical equipment. Pros: - Unit is rugged and compact. Has survived a few drops from table height with no noticeable decrease in function. - Lasts all day on a single charge with consistent use. Charges via USB-C. - Connects quickly and easily to the phone app (iOS for me) via bluetooth. - Automatically cuts labels after printing. May not seem like a big deal, but is such a huge help when you're printing dozens of labels all day and can just quickly grab them off the printer and keep moving. Cons: - The app may not be for everyone, especially if you are used to models with a built-in keyboard. There is a slight learning curve to figuring out all the functions, but has more utility compared to other models if you're willing to take the time to figure it out. - Cartridges are pricey. Shop around to save a few bucks. - Magnetic mount sold separately. The Brady M211 Portable Bluetooth Label Printer is a fantastic little device that’s perfect for quick and efficient label printing on the go. Its compact size and portable design make it easy to carry around, and the yellow/black color scheme gives it a nice, professional look. I have also dropped it a few times and it has held up super well! I have tried so many different label makers from Brother, Dymo, and etc... this one is the best! How it works is that you do everything through the phone app, which connects seamlessly. I loved it so much I bought two of these for our church and AV needs. One thing to note about Brady printers are that they LABELS ARE EXPENSIVEEE! So that's something to consider if you are printing a lot, but the possibilities with this label maker is endless. The Brady M211 is a solid, reliable label printer that’s perfect for professionals who need a portable and easy-to-use solution. It's sad that it took Brady ten or twenty years to release this feature, but the companion app you use on your mobile device to print to this (Express Labels) lets you select to not spit out all the extra tape at the end of a label, that you just end up cutting off. That annoyance was enough for me to stop buying their products a while back, so I'm glad it's finally possible to avoid. The battery life is great; you can print endless labels before needing to charge it up. I find the app works really well, and it's much more convenient than having to go find a USB cable and a computer with the proper software. ... show more

I purchased this in March of 2025 and it's April of 2026 at the time of writing this. I bought it for work, and I still use this thing and it's still going strong. Love the label selection and the longevity of operation from full charge. My favorites are the self laminating inch and a half for datacom labeling. For those wondering, you buy this and your broskis at work are going to be asking you to print labels for them, or where you get one from. It runs the risk of disappearing like a measuring tape. I wanted to be bougie and get the m511 because that one does a great job at cutting right after the text, saving you material from the cartridge, but I'm perfectly content with this due to it's size, and cost compared to the M511.     • Has gone the way of inkjet printers - only allows Brady cartridges - no aftermarket

You might say it is only fair . . . or not. But IMO, Brady has screwed themselves by disabling the aftermarket cartridges companies - Guys, I hope it was worth it! They have added firmware for the following limitations: 1) Only allow 'genuine', 3-4x as expensive Brady cartridges are allowed by the firmware. 2) The printer shows 'empty' when there is still over 1/4 of the reel remaining - does not sense correctly as it records the use of each cartridge then tells you it is empty when it is not - just like a proprietary ink jet cart that's still full when you know it's not. Old cartridges just ran out of tape and it was obvious and you inserted a new one. 3) When the cartridge goes over it's 'Use By Date' - the printer shows error - even with a totally full cartridge. I have perfectly good, still in the package carts that are now useless. It's a shame. It is a really durable looking piece of kit, IMO and I love the rechargeable battery and the bluetooth. I wanted to love it!! It really saddens me. I have wasted so much time!!! 1) I researched and ordered and learned the printer and goofy app and now have to box up and return. 2) Troubleshooting the aftermarket carts - to my dismay. I returned them as well. 3) Learning the wonky app - another beef - it is not a well written nor well behaved app. The mac version crashes if you ever accidentally hit 'return' in a text field. I guess it's not allowed but shouldn't crash the app. The app just disappears along with your work. The app does not have really common things like File->open or save - you have to find the hidden menu or icon. No right mouse or control / cmd clicks. Menus and configurations in weird places. Now I will say that I could have easily dealt with these oddities and had developed workarounds for these peculiarities but now all that is just a waste of time 'cause the thing is goin' back to Amazon. Sorry, It looks so solid and rugged. I wanted to love it, but it's just a 'nope'. ... show more
