So far, this seems to work well. Two things: 1. I dislike how the tape backing is two thin strips. So I have to pull two strips of backing off instead of one. I’m guessing the “pro” to this is that it makes removal of backing easier - you just fold the label and the seam to peel is easy to grab. I find it a little annoying. 2. I had to clean the print head because it wasn’t printing clearly with the first labels. That was easy with some rubbing alcohol and a paper towel. There are instructions how to do this. ... show more

Worked great for a week and then randomly shut off and won’t turn on again. I have tried new batteries(name brand) and I have tried the power cord and nothing will turn it on. I have tried to contact the company for a manual reset override and no one will respond.

This label maker is a quality product. However, there is a steep learning curve required in understanding how to operate it. Not nearly as simple as the vintage dymo label maker you may be familiar with. The instruction sheet is large and comprehensive. I even printed a label for the top of the machine to remind myself how to print multiple labels because it's not intuitive. That label, seen in the picture, is in the default font and medium size. This thing has so many options and capabilities I'm sure I will never use most of them. I really like the fact that it can operate on batteries making it readily accessible and handy when needed without having to plug it in. The printing and labels are top-notch although it took me a while to figure out that the backing is split lengthwise on the label tape. It will print an unbelievable amount of special characters and symbols. The only two caveats I have is that it takes a long time to figure out how to use it and to read the display you need a lot of light because it is not backlit. The labels are so nice I'm sure you will end up labeling things that really don't need labels, like maybe your spouse. ... show more
