Hello there! I bought this shredder in 2021 as a replacement for my previous one, which lasted about 10 years. After using it for several years, I'm happy to say it has been a solid choice for my home office. The shredder is compact, easy to set up, and shreds documents quickly without jamming *when used within its limits*. One of the main reasons I chose it is because it does cross-cut shredding, which is important for financial and personal documents. The shredded pieces are small enough that I feel comfortable disposing of sensitive paperwork. The 4-gallon bin holds a decent amount of shredded paper before needing to be emptied, making it convenient for regular home use. It also handles old credit cards without any problems. The biggest limitation is that it can overheat during longer shredding sessions. When that happens, it automatically shuts off to protect itself, and you'll need to wait anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes before continuing. If you have large stacks of documents, plan on shredding them in batches. I also recommend buying shredder oil and lubricating the cutting blades from time to time. Regular maintenance helps keep it running smoothly. As with most home shredders, avoid feeding too many sheets at once. If a jam does occur, the reverse function usually helps clear it. For stubborn jams, unplug the unit before attempting to remove any paper. As I was writing this review, I found that my shredder is the previous model and does not include the Convenient Lift-Off Handle. I've attached photos of the top panel and the shredder itself showing that this feature is not present on my unit. All in all, this has been a pretty dependable shredder for light to moderate home office use. It's NOT designed for nonstop heavy-duty shredding, but for everyday documents, bills, and old credit cards, it gets the job done well and has held up nicely over the years. I would buy it again :)

Works great for what I bought it for, destroying mail with personal information. It has performed well so far. It's about as fast as my last crosscut shredder and noise level isn't bad. I would by it again.

Seems to shred pretty well so far. It’s very loud compared to my previous (much larger) machine, so if noise is a concern this might not be the right shredder for you I am not sure if they test these or if mine was returned previously because there were already bits of paper in the blades when it took it out of the plastic packaging
