These "wooden spoons" as the box they come in describes them, are actually what are known as "spurtles" and they are both quite beautiful (these were listed as "new teak") and quite well made and durable. I have no doubt that with a decent amount of care they will last a very long time. Please note, they are not dishwasher safe and must be hand washed in warm soapy water and left to air dry. A very good value for a reasonable price to have tools that come in so handy in everyday use. A hole in each handle allows them to be hung on an appropriate rack to add to ease of use and attractive display. Made in China and a fine product.

One of the wood utensils like a misfit that belong in a different set. It is much lighter and does not have the same brown finishing as the other four.

I use these all the time to stir anything in a pot. They feel silky smooth in my hands! Not your typical wooden spoon. They have several sizes and one with slots. They wash up nice too. I highly recommend these.

I am very happy with this set. They are very well made with a coating (claimed to be natural) and durable. I use them for making noodle soup, curry and porridge. I also use the small, narrow ones for taking out, say preserves from jars. I oil them every few months, but they seem not to dry out because of the great coating.
