  • Good for babies and maybe small breeds but NOT full size chickens.
It was pretty easy to assemble however the instructions are mislabeled, so I kind of used which screw where I wanted and hoped for the best. It’s not a very heavy duty coop so I would recommend putting it under shade to protect from the elements. However I appreciate the little heater it comes with. The size is alright for my baby and young chicks. I have 4 pullets that are maybe 3 -4 months old and I would say they’re pushing it. I’ll keep to use for babies but no way can I put full sized chickens in there. Not even one as they wouldn’t fit through the door. Maybe if you only keep small breeds but I wouldn’t put more than 4. It’s cute and great if you’re in a pinch & need something quick and easy. More for people who keep chickens for fun not for production ... show more

  • Nice little backyard coop
Not bad for the money. Will need wire on the bottom and no locking latch for egg box. Otherwise great for a urban backyard coop. Went together in about an hour. Has a nice stain on it, although Ill paint it for a different color. I bought for pullets before transitioning with the big hens. We added roosting bars in coop and run. I would say Fits 2-3 large chickens with no free range. ... show more

  • Not very sturdy
Had to take apart and just use the house part and then reinforce the whole the thing where the tray slides out and make that permanent then had to reinforce the nesting box as my two very small chickens almost fell cause the bottom fell out. The only thing that is good is that it looks good

  • Nice, but cheap.
Having it pre-made was nice, but the instructions to put it together are terrible. Also, it was a lot smaller than we thought it would be. Its also lacking some latches to keep raccoons from opening the lid to steal eggs. Other than that we actually do like it.

  • Dollhouse chicken coop
Nicely designed but SO tiny that it feels claustrophobic. Planned on getting 3 hens, but should probably only get two : ( Looked for hours to find a coop like this where no one complained about cheap, broken wood. This one was well made, but definitely not designed for motivated predators if you live in an area with skunks or coyotes. ... show more

  • Not As Described
Much smaller than pictured, not so easy to put together. I read the reviews after I ordered it! But I bought it as a brooder for my chicks after hatching and in the indoor brooder for a week and it’s perfect for that. Reviews said the wood split, so I used a manual screwdriver… my arthritis did not appreciate that effort! The instructions are not clear, and I still don’t know where pieces “T” go! The slider for the door at the top does not fit the fence panel. Will not work for more than 1 hen if you’re getting it for grown chickens. I have property and I let my chickens free range once they are big enough. The flooring on the inside is very thin. The egg laying area is way too small and I doubt it would hold the weight of a full grown hen for very long before splitting and needing replaced. The walkway to go up and down from roosting area to ground is varnished and impossible for chicks to walk up. I affixed light weight sandpaper to the walkway, which did the trick. Of course, after rain, it has to be replaced. If you’re going to use this for a brooder, it works great, but for layers, buy or build something else. You’ll save money & frustration in the long run. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY
Not water proof. After. Light rain the wood started coming apart. Not as big as the picture made it look either. Great for babies but not enough space for bigger hens.
