Works as it should, however if you slide it on your pipe it will scratch it. The name is dumb and in bigger letters than anything on it which should be the numbers for temp instead. The price was right in comparison to others and thats what drew me in. Most of everything is made in china so you can pay a lot for crap or a little less for crap. So far it’s not too big of a piece, so way to go sweat shop. Bezos isn’t ashamed of making more in an hour than you’ll make in a lifetime and while you’re getting whipped, he’s getting clipped as in his toenails with gold clippers from usa. Really like this thermometer! Seems accurate to me- I bought two and put them next to each other on the stove pipe and they both read exactly the same. Good quality, good strength magnet, like how the dial is laid out with the temperature zones. Good choice!

So frustrating! Bought this in March in preparation for burning fires on our wood stove to heat our house. This new thermometer was replacing an old one we had for 10 years! After just a couple of fires, the numbers burned off so we can no longer read the temperature. Also, the temperature had seemed to be reading lower then it should, but we had not way to confirm, only determined by our personal experience of working with our wood stove.
