I’ve been using this to monitor temps on the stovepipe of a wood burning stove. It really helps in keeping the fire burning in a proper temp range clean chimney. It’s rather chintzy, but it works. Material is low grade but it works well and is pretty accurate. Easy enough to use, it’s magnetic so just stick it on the stovepipe and monitor the temps. A bit of advice would be to ensure the thermometer is placed high enough above the stove itself to ensure it doesn’t melt. Works as it should, however if you slide it on your pipe it will scratch it. The name is dumb and in bigger letters than anything on it which should be the numbers for temp instead. The price was right in comparison to others and thats what drew me in. Most of everything is made in china so you can pay a lot for crap or a little less for crap. So far it’s not too big of a piece, so way to go sweat shop. Bezos isn’t ashamed of making more in an hour than you’ll make in a lifetime and while you’re getting whipped, he’s getting clipped as in his toenails with gold clippers from usa. I use this to monitor our stove pipe temperature. I use one low near the top joint and second one 1 foot above to keep the temperatures is a safe burn range. I you have small children they will probable want to play with it in the off season, so you may find yourself buying more that one. :-)
